Summary: Just Stupid!!
Review: This book makes no sense. It is not steady reading and there are a lot of errors. This book was published by a major publishing company but while reading it, I often thought it was self-published. The cursing in the intro was just stupid. Her editor should have guided her better than he/she did. The writing style is also corny. Wendy I know you were excited about getting published but you should have went to a different company. At your publishing company, everyone guided you in the wrong direction.

Summary: words cannot describe...
Review: what an utter piece of useless garbage this book is. If you like Wendy's brand of "Look I know about a star's dirty laundry" gossip, that's your entitlement. Taste comes in good and bad. But this book revealed Wendy to be exactly what she is: a pathetic, parasitic, completely false wannabe who honestly (and delusionally) believes she's a show-biz diva.If there's any real humor in this book, that's it. Save your money and your time. This is one of those books that had no reason to be published. The writing is atrocious, the language obviously planned, and the point nonexistent. If, as one reader said, this was "the best book you ever read," please RUN to the nearest bookstore with all the cash you can spare and head for the literature section!

Summary: wendy is fierce
Review: Wendy has the strength, the courage, the will to get it all done! This is a quick read with a few surprises. Ms Williams has written her biography from the very interesting viewpoint of a successful black woman who is or should be a role model for all young women!

Summary: Good Story - Poorly Written
Review: Wendy Williams has an excellent story to tell. I found her life, trials, and tribulations to be entertaining as well as inspiring. I found good advice in her book. I would have enjoyed the book more if it was more in depth. It only touches upon most areas of her life before moving onto another one. There are some misspellings and occasionally the book jumps back and forth and its hard to follow. Wendy, I think you have had a hard and fabulous life. You have so many stories to tell and can elaborate upon. You need a better writer to assist you and a much longer book to tell it in.

Summary: LOVED IT!!!!
Review: Wendy's book was EXCELLENT!!! By far much better than I ever expected. I thought she was going to write a trash novel "dishing the dirt." Which would have been no more than tabloid trash - and quite frankly - how much dirt could she have really dished without being accused of slander? This book was quite the opposite.

Wendy gave us an inside look at her life. I also liked the way that it was written - in the same manner that Wendy speaks. It was an easy read - and I have so much more respect for the person that I hear on the radio every day. She is REAL!!! I can recall several excerpts that had me laughing out loud and some that brought me to tears. The book contained exactly what I wanted to learn about - WENDY!!!!

I can't say enough good things about the book....

Summary: A lotta hype ....a little disappointed.
Review: I am a Wendy Williams fan. Have been Since since she was at KISS then HOT now at WBLS. At 2pm I turn to 107.5 on blast just to hear "her song". At 3pm I tune in for advice hour. I tend to listen to her when I'm in my car because I feel like she's speaking right in my ear. I listen to her in my house when I know she's got a juicy bit of information she's telling. When Wendy first announced that she was first writing a book I couldn't wait. Then it was pushed back to August 5th. Folks were mad but that's my birthday so I thought it was sort of a gift.

There was so much hype around this book and I bought into it also which is something that I normally do not do. Her radio show is pretty intriguing but this book wasn't. I enjoy reading about a sistah's struggle and 1/3 of the book was about hers. I liked reading how she found her way from Ocean Township to Boston. I loved how she took the reigns and followed her heart to the Virgin Islands to start her career in radio. I loved her "futuristic vision".

After that I lost interest.

1/3 was about her coke addiction (really didn't need that much time)and 1/3 of the book was about her and Kevin.

Due to her gag order she was unable to discuss what happened with her and HOT 97 and of course readers were looking for that.

I finished the book with much disappointment. She spoke in "yucky" tones sometimes sounding ignorant which surprised me.

Anyway I love to hate Wendy as most urban New Yorkers do but I will continue to listen to her because I can distinguish between the the message and the messenger.

Summary: you won't be able to put it down
Review: This book is not as bad as other reviewers say. Yeah, it would have been better if Wendy revealed the true identity of some of the characters. I guess the Gossip Queen doesn't want people gossiping about her. All in all, the book was very captivating and entertaining. If you listen to Wendy on the radio, it will make you appreciate her more. If you've never listened to her, you'll start after reading the book.

Summary: A FRIEND IN MY HEAD!!! FAN OF WENDY & HER BOOK!
Review: SOME PEOPLE OR SHALL I SAY CRITICS MAY SAY WHILE READING HER BOOK "THE BOOK WAS POORLY WRITTEN AND HAS A LOT OF GRAMMATICAL ERRORS"- YOU WON'T COMPLAIN IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE WAY WENDY TALKS TO HER RADIO LISTENERS. THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN FROM WENDY TELLING TRUE STORIES THE WAY SHE TALKS. IT FELT AS IF SHE WAS TALKING TO ME ON THE RADIO. *THAT'S WHY I SAY THIS BOOK IS REAL!!*

THAT'S THE WAY SHE GETS DOWN AND PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND HOW SHE SPEAKS.OBVIOUSLY THE ONE'S WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE BOOK ARE THE ONE'S THAT DOESN'T LISTEN TO HER EVERYDAY. I MEAN I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE BOOK AS FAR AS HOW IT WAS WRITTEN. BUT IF YOU EXPECT TO READ THE BOOK THE WAY THE AVERAGE BOOKS ARE WRITTEN- WELL YOU'RE IN FOR SOMEHTING MORE RAW!

ALL IN ALL, THIS IS A GOOD BOOK! IT WASN'T AS LONG AS IT SHOULD'VE BEEN BUT HONESTLY IF IT WAS ANY LONGER IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN A GRAG BECAUSE SHE BASICALLY WENT THROUGH HER WHOLE LIFE IN A NUTSHELL AND IT WAS INTERESTING AS HELL!!!! SHE SHOULDN'T ADD MORE.

WE'RE ALL USE TO HER TALKING ABOUT OTHERS THIS TIME SHE'S TALKING ABOUT HERSELF!!! GO AND GET THE BOOK!!!

Summary: Better on the Radio
Review: I was very disappointed, I listen to Wendy Williams everyday on WBLS, I will say it was very interesting reading about her life, but I feel the book was very poorly written, Most of the storys that she told everyone already knew, I thought she was going to reveal names, which did not happen. It was just all over the place. But i have to say, I still Love Her....Please do not write another book

Summary: Wendy Fans Won't Be Disappointed...............
Review: .......as she gives us more than just a peek into her private life, and how she became the radio diva that she is today. I respect Wendy because although she has no problem discussing any celebrity's private life publicly, she is equally as revealing about her own life. This book takes you through her childhood, college experience and early days in radio detailing the struggles that she's faced that have made her the media success that she is today. I have a renewed appreciation for her as a personality, and her radio show....she is definitely "doing the d*** thing!"
