Summary: Brilliant and moving biography of a Hollywood legend.
Review: The author has captured all the grace, charm, and generosity of spirit of one of Hollywood's most endearing legends. As one who knew Miss Garson late in life, it was a pleasure to see her so beautifully rendered; it was also a revelation to learn about areas of her life I had not known. This is not only the difinitive biography of Greer Garson, but a model for all biographies of film personalities. The author is a born storyteller. He has a great future ahead of him in writing...one hopes there will be more books like this one. He is to be congratulated on a labor of love so sensitively brought to life. Thank you for giving the world Miss Garson's final legacy: the lesson of a life lived fully, compassionately, and well.

Summary: really well written
Review: This book on Greer Garson I highly recommend. It's very balances and tells of the good and bad times in her life about her career andher fmaily. Though i must admit I wished it had mentioned more about her interests and personal life off screem. But overall it's really well written and interesting book about alovely screen actress. Greer Garson really had class
and a wnderful grace about her in all of her films

Summary: Lovely book for a lovely lady
Review: This is an utterly enjoyable book, both for the fans of Greer Garson and for fans of classic Hollywood in general. Michael Troyan weaves her story together with all the simplicity, grace, and humor that his subject deserves. The best feature, to me, is the wealth of personal commment included that Miss Garson had on her own life, as the reader sees her wit, personality, and loveliness of being begin to take form. It is the best star biography that I have read.

Summary: A dream come true to any and all Greer Garson fan's.
Review: This is the definitive Greer Garson book. It does not get any better than this, period. A wonderful tribute to Mrs. Greer Garson Fogelson, one I'm quite sure that even she would enjoy! This book was written with style, humor, class and admiration for a true Lady. Best of all, it was written in a gentleman's code which is a rare thing indeed in this scandal-based world. So thank you, Mr. Troyan for not letting this fan down.

Summary: Impeccable
Review: Troyan's biography of Greer Garson is an inspired, thoughtful, exhaustive study of one of Hollywood's brightest stars of the 1940's. Beautifully written and researched.

*Attention biographers! Why are there no full bios of Maureen O'Hara or Irene Dunne??? (as far as I know)
