Summary: Pleasure in a small package!
Review: I COULD NOT put this book down! It was so cute, charming and witty! I was so amazed by this story, Clara is so much like my pugs! I hope there is a sequel to this coming! Pug owners should all rush out and get it as soon as possible!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very funny, entertaining book
Review: Along with many other readers of this delightfull book, I laughed out loud, and on the subway too! and also didn't want the stories to end. Certainly hope the pugs are doing well and enjoying little Nick.

Summary: Hit my pug's attitude, right on the nose (so to speak!)
Review: I haven't enjoyed a book so much in years! I read it in one sitting and laughed all the way through it.

I am involved with dog rescue work and run across just about every breed and variation there is. Our pug was one we knew was a "keeper" the minute she cocked that little head and worked us just the way she wanted.

I have rarely experienced a dog who thought she was so totally a person as Winnie does (short for Gwenevere).

As I read this book, Winnie lay on my lap, and I found myself shaking my head and looking at her, thinking, "Yep, that's Winnie all right!"

This book is a #1 choice for anyone. My 13 year old daughter devoured it in no time at all!

Summary: Great Reading for Pug Owners and Wannabe Pug Owners!
Review: This book is sooo funny (even if you don't own a pug). I often found myself chuckling outloud on the subway whilst reading it. I've been researching the pug for the last year in vain, trying to convince my husband that our lives would be enhanced by having a pug (so far, no luck). Now that Margo and Duke have adopted a little boy, it would be interesting to read on how Stella and Clara are coping. Kudos Margo!

Summary: A animal-lovers (or pug lovers) Erma Bombeck!
Review: I thought this would be a book that may be silly--it is not--extremely funny, and at the same time you can feel the emotions of Margo as she goes through so many things in her life that her pug family had prepared her for---

Very hard to put down, I finished it quickly, then passed it on to my mother and e-mailed one of my favorite animal lovers, talk show host Lynn Harper.

Summary: loved it
Review: I loved this book, and so will any pug lover. i don't own a pug but i would die to have one. Don't forget to recomend this book to your pug lover pals.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Terrific read if you are at all interested in pugs
Review: I grew up with a pug; she was my best friend (after her own selfish interests) until I went off to college. She lived until she was 14 and my mother has never gotten another dog. I now am partial to Great Pyrenees, owning two. But I have never forgetten Lizzie. It was wonderful "reliving" the experience through Clara. But this is a book that will delight more than just pug owners, although those that are will have a special understanding and appreciation for what Kaufman writes about. Anyone with a dog will appreciate it; there is a universal truth about what she writes about. A terrific beach or vacation book, esp. if you don't plan on interacting with anyone for awhile because it is hard to put down untill you are done! And when you are -- you'll wish there was the sequal.

Summary: Couldn't put it down!
Review: Margo Kaufman sums up the pug persona perfectly. This book had me laughing all the way through. I started to read more slowly towards the end because I didn't want it to end. She should write a series following the Adventures of Clara.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I defy anyone not to adore Clara!
Review: This is great light reading. I rarely laugh out loud while reading, but I did with this one!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A hilarious glimpse into the pug world humans just live in
Review: This is laugh out loud funny. It's as if Clara and Sophie have hopped up to the computer and placed their paws on top of Ms. Kaufmans and started typing. I dare a non-pug lover not to fall in love with this unique breed after reading this book. From hotel room service to radio interviews to adoption, Clara puts a smile on your face from page 1-308. Bravo, Margo Kaufman!
