Summary: Manson stands up for human individuality.
Review: I had to pick an autobiography for one of my college classes. It had to be an autobiography where a person stuggles between their celebrity image and their personal image. I think Manson does just that. The reading was fairly easy and it was thought provoking. It made me think about issues such as religion, mob behavior, the seperation of church and state, the effects of drug use, small town beliefs, and individuality. The only things I would change about this book are: I would add more stories about his childhood and add more about his search for his own identity. I would recommened this book to anyone who believes that every person is an individual.

Summary: Great Book
Review: This book was really A Great Book. It explanes alot about how Marilyn Manson got to be who he is today and Who he really is. It also clears up a lot of rumers. People have this Idia that Marilyn Manson is just a sick durty rock and roll star thats in it for the money and is a devil worshiper. Read the book and find out for your self.

Summary: Marilyn Manson is a human being just like the rest of us.
Review: I was anticipating Marilyn Manson's book. I first saw it and read the first two chapters there. I was disgusted about what he had to go through as a child with his grandparent Jack Warner and being molested by one of his friends playing a game of jail. I am touched by what Marilyn Manson says because it's total honesty. Many people speculate that he is a crazed maniac just getting in the hollywood light. I would say "who wouldn't want to be?"

Summary: wanted to know Manson
Review: I'm a big Manson fan and very much enjoyed reading it. It was far too short!!END

Summary: entertaining but by no means enthrallingl or revolutionary.
Review: The book itself depicted Marilyn Manson as a person, not the beast attributed with carnage onstage. However, despite the clarity and conviction of this 'work', he had the expected hidden agenda which allowed for the biography to serve as defense for MM's gaudy, yet gothic, persona. The introductory quote by Neitzche caught my eye because it seemed that there may have been a notion of inteligence in Mansons' words. However, I found none. As philosophical as the author boasts himself to be, especially from the intrigguing title, he fell short of Neitzche's promises in the foreward. Furthermore, I cannot see why he has done the things that he has done. Everyone his age and younger has seen struggles with drugs and sex. He makes exception to himself and pokes fun at normal people. I found this book more humorous than informative, especially his accounts of bands he has met. (The Dave Navarro bit is a gem.) Overall this book was an entertaining read, but it was by no means enthralling.

Summary: Brian Warner's Divine Comedy
Review: Though this book was probably meant to be a declaration of Brian Warner's self-proclaimed brilliance, it is instead a moronic exploration into the life of a decaying human being. This person obviously has a very limited view of philosophies, which can be evidenced through his excuse of explaining away his ignorance with the statement that he is a contradiction. The contradiction seems to extend into the area of his fluctuation between being a "superstar" and being a common cocaine addict. His discovery of self is a delusional one that folds back onto itself until he realizes that he has not moved the slightest bit forward in his quest to know himself. The book itself is a pitiful attempt to exhibit just how shocking a person can be if they wither away in front of millions while yelling the words, "performance art". In the end, all one can do is feel pity for this sad human being while discarding his book as an empty vessel of self-hatred masked as discovery.

Summary: Intriguing story of regular kid to shock rocker
Review: How would a kid grow up to become the satanic worshipping, scar faced man that is Marilyn Manson? In this book, which I read for this main reason, you can find out. From interesting stories about childhood to weird rumors floating around about him like about being on the Wonder Years and having his liver removed, it is all in this book! However, the book is not for the weary. It is sometimes graphic and sick, but I took that as a plus because it was ever so interesting. You don't have to like this mans music, because it is pretty bad, to read the book, it is still good.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I read this book in less then 24 hours
Review: I kept hoping that he (Marilyn) would go more into detail on how he feels about the rumers and lies. Otherwise, I thought this book was well written and hope he does a movie.
