Rating: Summary: the nirvanabook, has always been and always will until theend Review: this is the only nirvana book you will ever need to buy.
Rating: Summary: The only Nirvana book to own. Review: This is THE Nirvana bible. It talks about the start of the band, its changes, etc. It doesn't focus on Kurt and the drugs. It's about the good times and the bad. Buy it!
Rating: Summary: AWESOME, ENLIGHTENING, EMOTIONAL Review: After reading this book i became a real fan of Nirvana..and Kurt Cobain, at 41 years old that may seem odd. My only sadness is that a genius and a "rebel" was taken from us so suddenly. For all the people who just never "listened" i say FY! Frances will someday understand her dads extreme love for her and her mother. Now i ask "Who killed Kurt Cobain"?
Rating: Summary: "Very indepth and captivating from start to finish." Review: "Azerrad's book, proves to be full of detail and one of the resurectors of rock biographies. I put it down several times to either answer the phone, eat or go to the bathroom. It is a very nice piece which tells the tale of one of the most intriguing performers I have ever met."
Rating: Summary: Nirvana's Best Biography Review: Nirvana was the band of this decade. It spoke to disillusioned youth and to a society being raped by the information age. Although this book was authorized by the band, the honesty shines through. Kurt Cobain was a sad, but poetic man, who deserved more than to be chewed up the way he was. His final, desperate act does not negate the loving father, the brilliant songwriter, and the passioned singer that he was. Michael Azerrad did a wonderful job in writing about this band and its rise and fall. If you don't think Kurt Cobain and Nirvana have no relevance, think again. The recent school shootings in Oregon and elsewhere show a youth on the brink of despair, and just when we need Kurt the most, he is gone. "Come as we are," indeed.
Rating: Summary: excellant book, DEFINATLY reccomended Review: this is the most thourough nirvana book i've read. it tells about ALL the people who contibuted to the band, not just kurt. it also talks about the problems that went on within the band, some that i didn't even know. overall, an excellant book, and reccomended for any nirvana fan.
Rating: Summary: Kurdt Kobain is the Blood One of everyones generation. Review: Oh my god this is the book of this generation. A must read book for future musicians for music lovers anyone. This is a great writting of the worlds greatest musicians of all time.
Rating: Summary: The best Nirvana book ever written! Review: This is really a good book! Everything you wanna know - it's in there! You must read it a few times, to remember and read everything. But it's really good!
Rating: Summary: this story is about a very intelegent, lucky person. Review: This is a story about respectful talented person that has impacted my life in many ways. I have researched this man and I have discovered many things about myself and I have a very simuilar charactoristics as him and a simuilar personality. I have been dignosed manic for over three years and I have alot of the same behaveral patterns as him . I have learned alot from this persons mistakes and I have also made simuilar mistakes as him. The spiritualty of this person is very hart warmming and up lifting. By learning more and more about this person helps me with mylife and it also helps me understand my manic depression. I highly reccomend this book from the depthes of his childhood to his fatal death resulting from a shotgun blast. The story about a talented person suffering from manic depression and the realism of the media and media warped people and the penalties from the media that he refused to face. Enter into a world of a terrific hero from a small town and enter into the total bliss of nirvana. by David Karels
