Summary: Nirvana
Review: This Book is very detailed about the life of Kurt Cobian and his band Nirvana. It has close interviews with the band, family, and friends. It is a very interesting book to read if you like this band or bands like Nirvana. It shows how Kurt and his band made it through the Tours, drugs, and problems. It has 358 pages of interesting facts with rare photos of the band. This book is a good biography on a popular band. It is better then the rest of the Nirvana stories.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: Hey! This book really is awesome. It tought me so much about Nirvana and their History -- from the absolute beginning. The Author, who was one of Kurt's friends describes the life of each band-member in a very detailed way - but it just doesn't get boring! The book starts with the poor beginning of Nirvana and ends with their huge success! Real Fans gotta grab this book!

What are you waiting for? Put it in you cart!!!

Summary: EXTREMELY informative and well-written, with one hitch.
Review: This book is most definately the best Nirvana book I have come across in my career as a grunge-hungry Kurtomaniac, and it is owed to the fact that it was written before Kurt Cobain's tragic death in 1994. Because of that, instead of the usual dark, "Why oh why!" fare that prevails in most all Nirvanagrophies, you get a bright, energetic account of Nirvana as they really were. Unfortunately, this book is the only biography authorized by Nirvana, and was done by a man who tends to flatter Courtney Love a little too much. This is mainly because the author was a friend of the band's, and felt an obligation to protect Ms. Love's name. On top of that, there are many intimate details in the book that many of us would not care to know, such as the personal escapades between Courtney and Kurt. You know what I mean, but I really do not have any desire to know when and where they... Well, back to the review. Yes, If you only buy a single Nirvana book, buy this one. It may deem Courtney Love a "fiercly intelligent, witty woman with great charisma and pathos", but what the heck? It is an amazing book nonetheless.

Summary: Refreshingly Honest
Review: Although Azzerand became friends with the band (espeically Kurt) in the course of the interview, it remains balanced, frank and netural. Too many of the Nirvana and.or Kurt Cobain books out on the market should be used as toliet paper, so I was really pleaserd to read this one.

I really felt for Kurt and Courtney through all of the legal procedings and got the impression that they were just like many other couples--excluding the rich rock star thing.

One other thing that jumps out, is the frequent and loud denunciation of anybody who is racist, sexist and/or homophobic. Few of the current big name bands inspired by Nirvana can claim such exemplarly conduct. Ditto for the modesty and admittance of imperfections and flaws.

Summary: If you are a Nirvana fan you HAVE to read this book!
Review: this was an awsome book! If you want to know the real story of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana then you just have to read this book. It's author is down to earth and could really tell what Kurt was feeling even if Kurt wasn't saying. This book is just great, I recomend it 200%! A must read!

Summary: Entertaining
Review: This book really cuts to the proverbial chase and portrays group members as real people with feelings. Azzerand does an excellent job capturing Nirvana's personality and that of it's lead singer who died too soon.

I really don't like conspiracy theories and was glad this did not degenerate into a piece of tabloid garbage. Well researched and written, although the band was friendly with Azzerand the book is unquiely balanced.

Summary: Look no further.....
Review: Imagine a book about Nirvana that contains more information than you ever dreamed of & once you finished reading it, you just had to read it again, & then again! Well imagine no more coz this is it! I am a HUGE Nirvana fan & I have ALOT of stuff on them & this is by far the best book I have on them! It contains information on Krist & (mainly) Kurt's childhood, their teens, their thoughts, becoming famous, meanings behind their songs, information on their albums, Kurt's funeral & a new final chapter that covers the last year of Kurt Cobain's life. If you like Nirvana then you simply MUST own this book.

Summary: Well written, couldn't put it down
Review: Of all the books I've read on Nirvana, this is obviously the best. Nirvana has such an interesting history this book captures it very accurately. This shows the side of the band and Kurt better than any other publication. This book is definitly worth it.

Summary: This is the best book ever
Review: This book, whether you like Nirvana or not is amazing. It has a very personal feel to it and Azzeraad really knows how to convey the feelings of the band through this book. Buy it!
