Rating: Summary: Wish I could review it... Review: I understand the realities of publishing, but hey, put out a trade paperback version. Wish I could find it.
Rating: Summary: It was a honest look at one's self. Review: I found the book to be funny, serious, and most of all honest. He makes no bones about his life and loves. I think if David were a teen idol in the 90s, it would be so different. He was an idol in the 70s, when it was cool to be young & hip. Now, people can take him and his career more seriously.
Rating: Summary: print more copies Review: not being able to read this book, I cannot review it. But I sure would like to. Please reprint!
Rating: Summary: I'm sure I would love it if Could only get to read it! Review: Iv'e been searching for this book for 7 months now and I'm getting abit despondent. There seems to be SO MUCH interest in D.C. (though most of it seems stateside) I've read so many adoring messages Re: David on web/fansites; how do we get to find out more? PLEASE get the book back in print, publishers, I'm sure it would do good business! I'm still mad about David after all these years but feel lonely here in the U.K. as there doesn't seem to be much we can find out about him - even my four year old duaghter loves him! the BBC did a documentary last DEC. (98) and I wrote them asking for info but they wouldn't oblige. I was very fed up. So I feel I've come to a bit of a dead end...
Rating: Summary: I can't find a store or library that can get it! Review: I can not find the book anywhere! David is my first and only crush that has lasted 37 years. He still thrills me and I always have his picture somewhere in my house at all times. I never in a million years thought I would get the chance to see him live, since I don't go to Vegas. What a dream come true! Even after all these years I still love him. He will be performing in a small club in my home town soon. I am finally going to see him up close and PERSONAL. Women still love his sexy looks and the guys like the nostalgic feelings from his songs. Truely an extraordinarily courageous man. He's a fighter and lucky for me he didn't give up. I would shag his hair any day. Pun intended!
Rating: Summary: I'm unable to reveiw it, as I haven't read it , I'm looking Review: I would be interested in purchasing the book if it were published again, because I couln't find find it in my area.
Rating: Summary: Missed the bus!!!! Review: The publishers should reprint this book. Since Mr. Cassidy has had a recent comeback (VHI and EFX), there must be others who would be interested in this book.
Rating: Summary: An OK book Review: This is a pretty interesting book and I learned a few things that surprised me about David Cassidy. His life proves that fame and fortune are not all they've cracked up to be. Yes, it is kind of hard to pity someone with all that fame, money, and sexsexsex thrown at them, but I think in the end he has made out OK and wish him all the best in his future career on broadway and TV. This story should also provide a caution to those following in his footsteps, to make sure you have a good lawyer. As I understand it, David's image was put on things - T-shirts, lunchboxes, etc. - and he had no control at all over it, or received proper compensation. I do have to admit I had a massive crush on him at the time of the Partridge Family, only mildly alleviated today! This is the most interesting of the cheezy quickie pop-star bios, ie. Burt Ward and Mickey Dolenz' efforts.
Rating: Summary: Great reading, insightful, funny, sad, and naughty!!!! Review: I read this book after seeing David in Las Vegas. I really enjoyed this book. Yes, he had alot of sex. Some of the stories are hilarious! (Barbara the Butter Queen) David didn't try to sugar coat his life. He was very honest and up front about his family, his feelings about his fame, and how he lost it all but still came back! I admire this man and I find myself to now be a true fan!
Rating: Summary: Keith Partridge? :-) Review: If you want to read a book in which you CAN NOT set it down for one minute, this is the book for you! :-) David Cassidy tells his whole story--honestly. He's the not the Keith Partridge everyone knew him as. He is, though, a very honest, kind, and talented man---even though he boasts about his huge personel sex life. He also talks about being overwhelmed with fame, money, photo shoots, endless hours of work, and girls. I reccomend the book! David Cassidy deserves alot of respect because he is such a remarkable guy with a handsome inner and outer self :-)
