Summary: Getting to know K.C....
Review: FYI, I'm not one the the hard core critics that write on here to complain about spelling errors. Nor am I one of the flowery reviewers that seem to be trying to make everyone like them.

That said, I love biographies. I love Nirvana. I love psychology. I thought it was a great book. I learned a lot about his life that I had not previously known. It's an interesting look at the real life and story behind a band that was so loved. My heart hurt for him as I read it. He was so troubled. I'm not as angry about his death as I was before I read this book. Just as sad, but not as mad at him.

Summary: just buy Come as You Are
Review: when i started this book i had just finished Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana, and had to stop reading Heavier then Heaven. from the first chapter it just made me mad. The author goes on and on about how kurt was feeling at age 3 when, as much as i could tell, the guy never even talked to kurt cobain. i also got the feeling that the author was bringing out the worst side of cobain's personality and making him seem like some sort of hypocritical whiner. i think the book is a waste of time and money. just buy come as you are instead. the one good thing i can say about this book is that there are a lot of details.

Summary: Sad Life
Review: I have always been a big fan of Kurt, his music moved me.
His life moved me. He only wanted to make music. Fame, nah.
It lead him through a life of drugs to cope and to also cope
with his tummy problems, whatever they were. Even he did not know, nor did his drs. I believe he did love Courtney, but
she is an attention hound as we all know. He found some peace
with his daughter. She will grow up knowing her father was the
best singer.......Maybe she will follow his legacy....without the

drugs.
RIP Kurt

Summary: Nothing will ever compare!
Review: I read this book not knowing anything about Kurt Cobain and Nirvana but after reading it I felt like I actually knew Kurt and was actually there at the time. I have tried reading other rock bios after this book and I cant even get through them. This one tops them all. No book will ever compare to this heart-grabbing real story of Kurt Cobain.

Summary: The end ruins the integrity
Review: This book really is a peice of [junk] in many respects. Although it is very detailed and reaserched it is obvious that he didnt recheck some of the facts that he got from Courtney. And then the END when he made up the last day of his life down to every detail as if he knew exactly what happened when no one really knows. This book REALLY gives you the wrong ideas as the guy before me said so DONT read it unless you know all of the true facts about Kurt and just want some entertainment

Summary: Heavier than Heaven
Review: This book tells the tragic story of the frontman for the band Nirvana, Kurt Cobain. It gives the straight facts about the start-up of the band, Kurt's problems with his family and his problems with drugs. This sad story will captivate you with its honesty.
This book serves its purpose, to augment our knowledge about what really happened with Kurt Cobain's life and hlep us to understand why he was so different. It also annuls all of the other, second-rate books that were written about him. Unlike the others, this book was written with input from many sources that were close to Kurt himself. The complete story of his life is given, from growing up with divorced parents to overdosing so many timeson heroin that those close to him were experts on reviving him. This book also looks more into Kurt the person, not Kurt the singer for Nirvana.

Summary: Shouldve Put Courtney as the Author
Review: Cross got most of his information for this book in the view and opinion of Courtney Love. This means she can make millions of people think that things happened the way she wished they really did. She tells storys that never happened. If you read "Come As You Are", which was written by someone who actually sat down with Cobain and heard HIS story, you'll know what im talking about. This story can give you the wrong information. DONT READ IT!!!!

Summary: good read
Review: The author of this book Charles R. Cross lives in Seattle and his writting have appeared in Rolling Stone, Esquire, and Spy. He was the first publication to do a cover story on Nirvana. I beleive that Heavier tan Heaven was such an intresting and intriuging book. This book was introduced to me by a friend and as soon as I started reading it I could not put it down. I was so glad to see this book apprise all of the things he was good at. Even when he was just a little kid. This book goes through the ups and downs of Kurt's life, the drug abuse problems, his love for Courtney, and his problems at home.

Summary: a great book on cobain
Review: this is a wonderful and magical book. i thik the author does a great job witht the writing of this book. the book starts off wonderfully on telling what the tiltle means about his first suicide attempt. then it moves into his dyas when he was born and his family in the fist chaprter. in the next few chapters it explains his early child hood and how happy he was. then it starts to get into his teen years. and talks abut his first few sexual encounters and knowledge of that sort. then it goes on to the band and how it was formend and the making of every cd that they made including mtv unplugged. This book has great info on the cds and the labels nirvana went through and everyhting about his musical career. but i felt that there was one thing it lacked. and this is good information on rome and his last few days on earth and his actual suicide. it bereley gives any information on courtney love and why he comitted suicide. i feel that this book leaves alot of facts that it mentions in the very begining. and it has very little iformation on rome and his few suicide attmepts htere too. all in all its a pretty good book. but if your looking for a good book action packed and on his suicide and why he did it i recomend the journals of kurt cobain or the murder investagation of kurt cobain. but if u want the facts of his whole life i would buy this book now because its a real page turner.

Summary: Intense
Review: I was pretty amazed at the amount of detail that he included. The research effort placed into this project must have consumed years of the author's life. I cannot think of any detail that one could have expected. It wants to make you think that he took several liberties, especially in the description of the suicide. Courtney Love makes out pretty well reputation-wise and one thinks that the author spared her in return for her cooperation, which was considerable. It is a must for all Cobain fans as it is definitive.
