Summary: Great Book
Review: Very profound and very moving. By far, the best book by Kundera

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An interesting read...
Review: I wish I could read it in the original. I read a translation. It's confusing at times (perhaps, the translation?), but well worth the effort. As the characters examine their own souls, so will you. The backdrop of Prague during the 1968 occupation makes this a memorable novel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: beautiful, haunting, and lyrically articulate
Review: this is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. at 20, a friend recommended I check it out, and from the first chapter I was mesmerized. when I wasn't reading it, it haunted me....I could not stop thinking about the implications of Kundera's observations, his theories, his philosophies. his commentary on relationships, life, men, and women is so accurate and telling. he is able to put into words these little nuances and idiosynchrasies that make us human.

this book is truly special- filled with meaning and relevance. I have recommended it to everyone I know.

Summary: Brings light to Life.
Review: A great book for those that are confused about life and the meaning of philosophy. This will unwrap a whole new understanding.

Summary: A great discovery
Review: I found this book in the "ENGLISH" section of a Prag bookstore. The title rang a bell so I bought it. That night on the train to Germany, I couldn't put it down. Kundera is one of the few authors I've found who seems to look at life in the same light I do. If you're curious about life and philosophy, read this book.

Summary: Slow start but very interesting

Review: It's one of my favorite books that I've read it many times. But whenever I brush it up I can find something new just like the first time. Fortunately, I also watched the movie. It's a good one.
