Summary: One Great Book and Audio Tape By Whoopi Goldberg
Review: I bought this because Whoopi is great , her ideas are great her jokes EVERY THING. I dont usally shop from the internet but hey! I thought this was worth it and it was. This tape got me laughin' it got me to think about stuff. Yeah there is language but who doesnt use the "F" word every now and then?This is a collectable and a definatly a MUST HAVE. So WHY ARE u still reading this? GO AND BUY IT!

Summary: I love this audio book; a must read for true Whoopi fans
Review: I bought this book hoping I could get an inside view of Whoopi, the woman, and that I did! Her openness, honesty and vulnerability are wonderful. Her passion in expressing herself is refreshing. I didn't agree with all she said but to quote her: "That's o.k." she doesn't expect or want that. She wants conversation. I would enjoy sitting down and talking with her and this audio book (in a sense) lets me do that. A word of caution though, this is definately an Adult Only book and remember "Adult" means a lot more than over 18. My only regret is that I will never be able to meet this funny, compassionate, talented and quite remarkable person.

Summary: Don't listen while driving!
Review: I bought this to listen to on my daily commute. I had to listen to it at home because I kept driving off the road from laughing so hard. Whoopi Goldberg is honest, funny and real. Book was hilarious, but this is so much better from her reading and adlibs. Find a copy and share!

Summary: Whoopi's Audiobook falls flat
Review: I expected great things from Whoppi Goldberg. Surely a woman with her comedic genuis, with her acting experience and her wry outlook would be able to write a brilliant, witty bestseller. Well, it may not be brilliant or witty, but it looks like it's on its way to being a bestseller. If you ask me, this speaks volumes about the American public -- they're willing to settle for mediocracy. I chose to experience Audiobook rather than Book (Whoopi's title for the print version of her work) because I felt my experience would be amplified by Goldberg's carefully honed presentation and her comedic timing. I was wrong. Goldberg read her book matter-of-factly, and I detected a certain haughtiness that turned me off. Her voice oozed with over-confidence in her own beliefs. She spoke of her own experiences as if they were universal. She laughed at herself and frequently declared that something was wrong because, "It just is." The lack of insight left me feeling underwhelmed. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. I'd hate for others to have to suffer through Whoopi's canned memories of her idyllic childhood and her in-your-face opinions, because they weren't entertaining in the least. They just weren't.

This happens to us sometimes when we had a few children and get into our forties. She has a good view on mother hood and indiviual freedom of choices. She is family oriented. It was wonderful

Summary: An inside view of Whoopi...
Review: I was expecting a more classical Whoopi but what I found was an interesting surprise. It provided an insight to Whoopi that I had not thought about nor heard before. It is not for everyone. In fact if you are looking for something light and in the line of Whoopi's usual...skip this one. It made me stop and think about some parts of my life I had put in the back of my mind. But she tells you on the tape that part of the purpose of this book is to get you to stop and think.

Review: If you don't like to hear swear-words, don't buy the audiobook. There - that's said. Otherwise, if you don't mind hearing "naughty" words, GET THE AUDIOBOOK! Whoopi comes into your living room (or car etc.) and talks to you - quite simply..... about politics, about kids, teenagers, mothers, bad drivers - you name it, almost. She has clear, well-grounded opinions and expresses them so you nod, chuckle or guffaw. No wonder she is such a good comedienne, she has eyes that see what is going on around her and that see the humorous bits of it as well. Whoopi, if you read this - MAKE MORE AUDIOBOOKS!!! I didn't even notice I was dusting while I listened to you! ;-) THANKS for "coming over" and talking to me while I did my housework :-)
