Rating: Summary: A must-read for anyone who dates! Review: Reiser brings his sense of humor and reality from "Mad About You" to this successful book on love, dating, and the daily struggles that everyone faces. In a lighthearted way, Reiser points out all the hidden power struggles that happen in relationships, and you'll find yourself laughing along because you know you've done all these things. Reiser even manages to explain the 'Bing-Bang-Boom' theory, which is reason enough to buy this book. A bargain at any price, Couplehood will give you a helping hand in seeing the small things in your relationship

Rating: Summary: READ IT ON VACATION! Review: THIS BOOK HAD ME LAUGHING OUT LOUD! NEVER HAVE MARITAL DIFFERENCES BEEN DEPICTED AS SOOO NORMAL AND HYSTERICAL! I READ THE BOOK IN 1 WEEK WHILE ON THE CAYMAN ISLANDS WHERE THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THINGS TO DO. I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
Rating: Summary: The best put book on couples, ever! Review: This book is one of, if not the, best book I've ever read. It was one of the most honest, and well put book on coulples. It had me laughing, remembering, and looking forward to the stages of "couplehood", with every page turned. It wasn't meant to be a "self-help" book, I don't think, but it made me feel good with my relationship. Simply put, he helps the world know that those funny, aqward, uncomfortable, and comfortable stages of relationships, are happening to us all. I don't think I've ever related so much to a book (or laughed so hard with the associations I made) and this is one book I'd love to read over and over.
Rating: Summary: First Comedian Read Review: This book really read like a comedian wrote it. I agree that I can hear Reiser's inflections as I am reading the words that he is saying. I also can see his comedic style shining through in this book. But a little too much for my tastes. The book was funny, and I could relate to it a lot, but I had some trouble following it from antecdote to antecdote. Then it hit me. It's a book, by a comedian, written in the style of a comedy show. No real plot or direction, just a series of funny little stories that Reiser shares with his audience. I haven't read any other books by any other comedians, so I'm not sure if this is the style that most of them follow. If it is, I could see this book as being a really good book in that style. I could also see a lot of the show "Mad About You" in this book as well - even though I only watched Mad About You occasionally. However, it kept me in bed at night, reading the book, even after I decided I didn't like the comedian style. It does relate to a lot of people in almost every antecdote, which kept me hooked to the book when I was reading it.

Rating: Summary: The relationship under a microscope Review: This is a great book. I am brazilian, and I bought it when I was waiting for a flight at the O'Hare airport. I almost read it immediately. It's a very funny picture of the relationship between man and woman. And everything is right! He shows us what is good and bad in a relationship in a very, very funny way. This book flies! You just cannot stop reading it! And when you finished it, you might want to read it again...In this book, you do not spend money, you invest it. You will have a lot of fun, specially if you are dating someone or married.
And remember: I am not his relative, It is a really good book!
Rating: Summary: An amusing look at relationships Review: This is a light, fluffy read. While it is funny, it really just brushes the surface of its subject matter and never tackles them at any great depth. In a way this is a shame, as relationships provide so many opportunities for stories. This book was clearly intended to take advantage of the success of Reiser's television show, but doesn't provide any additional insights or much in the way of new material. I enjoyed it as a distraction, but I'm glad I wasn't looking for anything thought provoking.
Rating: Summary: The Perfect Gift for an Engaged Couple Review: This is a very fun book. I picked it up on a lazy weekend while staying at someone's house during an out-of-town speaking engagement. I have never laughed so hard. Reiser's no-holds-barred humor hits the mark and is a should be read together by couples. His observations of the nuances of marriage make this the ultimate engagement gift. To date, my wife and I have sent a dozen or so newly-engaged couples a copy of this gem.
