Rating: Summary: I have really enjoyed this book many times over. Review: "Skin" is a very good novel to read if you are interested in medicine. It is mainly based on skin transplantation, but there are some other interesting medical facts in this book. I think that it is definately my favorite X-Files book yet. I thouroughly enjoyed reading it several times over.
Rating: Summary: "With a gov-conspir'cy here and a gov-conspir'cy there" Review: "X Files" is the most successful sci-fi ever, and what's it all about? Uncle Sam "covering up stuff that citizens deserve and need to know". About a month ago, I went to the doc and he sent me over to the lab for blood tests. I noticed that the lab order didn't have my social security number where indicated, but when I commented on that to the lab tech, he said; "Another way for Big Brother to keep tabs on us." At that point, I got just a bit uneasy about what sort of guy had just stuck a needle in my arm. Still more proof that conspiracy mentality in entertainment is a symptom of a greater malaise, I suppose. Know what I say to people who have images of "bleepin' government" breathing down their necks? There's an old saying that goes: "The wicked flee when no man pursueth".
Rating: Summary: Good book; great performance! Review: As far as tie-in TV novels go, "Skin" ain't bad. It was gruesome, but good, and an enjoyable listen for a rainy afternoon. But the best part is definately Bruce Harwood's performance. He's got a lovely voice, and I liked the fact that they got someone from "The X-Files" to do the reading (plus he does an adorable Australian accent for one character!). Overall, a definate buy!

Rating: Summary: Gotta read this Review: Ben Mezrich truly captured the essence of the X-Files. It was as if I was watching the show on Sunday night. I was worried about a different author trying to write an X-File novel, but I am pleased to announce that my fear is deminished. He did an exceptional job. I'll gladly purchase any X-File novel written by Ben Mezrich.
Rating: Summary: One of the best Xfile Novels Yet Review: From start to finish it was like watching a typical X-Files episode, On the edge of my seat. I was mezmorized by the bone chilling storyline and plot. Just as good as Ruins Or Ground Zero if not better! Im Overwhelmed by his (Mezrich) power to grasp and keep you in this powerful novel. Looking forward to Ben Mezrich to write another X-File.
Rating: Summary: Good plot, poor execution Review: Good plot, well thought out medical puzzles, interesting characters and original ideas couldn't save this book from being a mediocre read. It would have made a good fan fic but hardly professional quality wording or execution. The author needs to dust off his Thesaurus and take a class or two on sentence construction.
Rating: Summary: Plot better than many X-File books Review: I actually found the plot to this one to be better than most of the X-File books. I thought the medical part of the story was well done. While not as "shippy" as many Mulder and Scully fans would like, the plot read like a fairly solid "monster" episode. More could have been done with the internal workings of Mulder and Scully and more of their humor could have been used, but all in all I thought the investigation was worthy of an X file.
Rating: Summary: Peacock Review Review: I felt this book was heavy on Scully's perspective which was wrong. I couldn't see Scully acting the way she did ... After I got past that and the book went to Thailand it did get better. But I think I'm the only one that would feel that way. For some reason I like stories that take place in caves and small dwellings and this book did. I was held in suspense and couldn't put the book done for long because I wanted to see if I was right in what I was sure would happen next. And I was so I kept reading to see if I was right again. The ending was really weak for a book that was actually starting to get good. It was almost like a slap in the face.
