The Theatre: A Concise History (World of Art)

Summary: A Lot of Info in A Small Space
Review: Perhaps this is a biased view of this book, having used it as a textbook in a College-Level Theatre course, but I fount that his book tries too hard to cram every little bit of information into the smallest amount of space possible, which makes it difficult to understand and/or retain what you have read. However, this book is definitely a good source of information for Theatre History and makes very good usage of the available graphics, which accompany the text nicely.
