It's a self-help approach that appeals to the romantic in all of us. Rating: Summary: Smart and Insightful Review: Johanna's words have a way of drawing you into your inner world to discover your own male/female energies. Her words flow smoothly and crisply, and take you on a personal journey into "who you are." There is a very sexy quality to "The Tao of Tango." That comes across from Johanna's very stylish writing, the lessons that she teaches, and her love of the dance. The dance itself is an excellent metaphor that she uses to help men and women get beyond the external forces in the world, into a more spiritual union with the male/female energies that embody each of us. It became very clear to me that, at our core, we own both and we need to embrace both. The book was a great read! Each chapter pulled me into the next, revealing more and more of how the positive dance of life is dependent upon each of us allowing our yin/yang energies to work together in harmony. The "Tao of Tango" is a monumental lesson that needed to be addressed. Everyone needs to dance more smoothly and fluently through life. From the basic steps in life to the more advanced steps, this book can get you started. You will gain more insight and become more balanced internally, which will allow you to let go, connect and have fun. Isn't that the purpose of the dance?
Rating: Summary: The Art of Balance Review: My partner and I enjoyed the Tao of Tango. I've mentioned your book to many, including a few who don't want to be followers in anything. The flip side of this is knowing as a man in the leader's role, I can relax and follow half the time, give and receive, a constant balance of expressing and listening. Larry Sawyer
Rating: Summary: Tango & real life Review: Nearly every sentence is a deep and profound truth about tango and real-life-relationships. Your concise language expresses very clearly what I always thought but never formulated in such a lucid way. I appreciate your insistence on the difference between energy and its expression through behavior. A wonderful book!
Rating: Summary: Brilliant! Review: Only someone who is truly had an intimate relationship with Tango Argentino could have written such a book. You have clearly crossed the borders, made the connections and found your way into the soul of this, the most powerful, provocative and mysterious dance in the world...Tango. How you communicated your experiences with Tango, and in fact with life, through "The Tao of Tango" is brilliant. I found it hard to put the book down even though I read it after only 3 hours sleep, sitting in an airplane seat, pillow tempting my head to get a little sleep. I loved your analogy of the ocean waves. Yes, "The Tao of Tango" is real. Christy Cote, San Francisco, California

Rating: Summary: Psychologically Sound Review: The Tao of Tango is an insightful, sensitive and very clever treatise using the metaphor of Tango as a window into the psychology of relationships. I love this book!

Rating: Summary: A brand new twist on the Tango Review: The Tao Of Tango is emphatically not a dance book (although the author Johanna Siegmann has learned the Tango so that the reader never has to) but rather the ultimate self-help book on the way men and women view relationships. Written specifically to be accessible to both genders, The Tao Of Tango includes physical exercises to heighten the senses. Author Johanna Siegmann compares male and female energy, also known as Yang and Yin, to archetypal Tango dancers, and from this draws insight for the reader to ponder long after he or she finishes this slim book. Fresh, unique, and definitely a brand new twist on the Tango.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful and Profound Review: The Tao of Tango is one of the most compelling, thought-provoking, informative and sensitive books I have ever read. This book was written from the heart of the author to the heart of anyone seeking to understand the interplay of female and male energy in relatinships. The use of the Tango as a metaphor for the "dance of life" is beautiful and profund in its simplicity. Your spirit will dance with this one! ...
