Summary: BUY THIS BOOK
Review: As a frequent Amazon shopper and reader of reviews, let me make this very simple for you. If you are a theatre manager, or want to learn about becoming one, BUY THIS BOOK. It is THE source. Its simply that good.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The essential manual and training guide for Theatre Managers
Review: This is the most comprehensive book in the field, covering all aspects of theatrical management in detail. It serves as an excellent textbook for training as well as a manual for both beginning and experienced managers. No one should consider building a new theatre without looking over the included checklist. All areas are covered from small non-profit arts organizations to commercial theatre with plenty of examples, and an extensive appendix. The bibliography alone is worth the price of the book.

Summary: Very outdated.
Review: With all respect to Mr. Langley, this book is 20 years behind the times. There was some good information, but there was an equal amount information that no longer applies.
