Summary: A spectacular anime book
Review: This book is probaly one of the best anime books out there. The imformation even go's way back when anime had just begun. In addition to those Japanese words that you here but never really knew what their true meaning, such as mecha or otaku. It even says why an anime would contain violence, nudity, ect. So therefor, this book really does have everything that a fan needs to know.

Summary: A perfect beginner's guide!
Review: This was one of the first books I ever read on the subject of anime fandom. I found it mind-bogglingly informative! Since I first read it, I have recommended it to any number of friends also hoping to get into anime. It includes all of anime's basic points in a very friendly format. Even now (as a seasoned anime fan) I still revisit it if I need a brush-up on the essentials! ^_^

Summary: Worth its weight
Review: When I first read this book I thought that it wasn't bad, it just needed more detail. Then I thought about the title and its contents: "Everything a Fan Needs to Know." That's true if you are just getting into Anime. Usually when I pick up an Anime book I learn a great deal more than the previous Anime book. But this one just repeated the same stuff I'd already read elsewhere. I'll admit that there was maybe a small amount of new info that I was unaware of, so of course there is something new for everyone. However, I'll stick with other books for reference first, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't read it if you're new to the concept of Anime or not.
