Summary: Would have helped me!
Review: I wish that I had this book when I lived in Los Angeles. As a n actor (Private School, Woman in Red, Family Ties and Facts of Life.) I bounced around a lot in LA, but had I had a book like this, I most likely would still be out there and have satyed in the field that I loved!. This is a great book for people who hoep to make it in show business. It is filled with great ideas and terrific suggestions that make it a must to own. I read it because someone gave it to me as a gift, knowing that I had been an actor, but I must say it has some very worthwhile advice to pass along. If you are thinking of becoming an actor, know someone who is thinking of becoming an actor, or know someone struggling to become an actor, this is the book they MUST have.

Summary: Fabulous
Review: I loved this book. My friend sent it to me for christmas ,
knowing I was moving to LA in Jan. and I am so excited.
Not only does it give you great acting and self help tips,
It tells you where to get car insurance, where to eat late night, where to get a haircut and so much more. If you are planning to move to LA
or go out for pilot season and you don't want to feel like a fish out of water get this book. I'm sending it to my friends who have already been there for a couple of years, because they don't know half of the info in there. It was soo funny and amusing I read it in two nights. Now I'm going to follow the advice in the book and slow down and follow the steps, which are supposed to be done over the course of a year.

Hopefully you will see my name in lights soon.

Summary: A must have for actors young an old
Review: I loved this book. The he said she said attitude, really gives you a fresh take for those who have been jaded by the business.
Dawn gives you funny horror stories of her escapedes and mistakes entering LA (some great monologues from her exerpts as well.)While Dori tells it like it is. ( kind of like Simon from Teen Idol)I highly reccommend tnis book to all.I loved it and I found the advice really helpful. Most of the tips are really gems from an insider.

Summary: This Book Worked for Me!
Review: This is one of the most straightforward and effective books of this kind I've ever read. The advice is not only friendly and practical but also helped me do some serious soul searching about what I really want. Although I haven't made it big, YET, I'm already getting jobs in both LA AND NY, and feel-for once- that I have control over a career that's definitely moving forward. Thank you, Dawn Lerman!

Summary: FADE IN: ACT ONE -
Review: Everything you ever wanted to know about show biz, but didn't know who to ask. This small book, written in a chatty tone, should be required reading for anyone who dreams of an acting career in LA. The lists and exercises are great, the quotes fun, the advice sound... And for those who fear auditions, Dawn's description of HER audition for playwright Arthur Miller makes this an e-ticket read.

Summary: A great companion piece for out-of-towners in L.A.
Review: A self-described "zany best-friend" type, Lerman is welcome company on any journey through Tinsel Town. She is a star-struck dynamo and the book is both exhilirating and pragmatic!
