Rating: Summary: Book for Actors Review: If you've already read Rikki Lee Travolta's "My Fractured Life" about all the pitfalls that go along with Hollywood and Broadway stars and you think you can avoid drug addiction or simply don't mind the thought of it and still want to be an actor then 12 Step Plan to Becoming an Actor in LA is the next book you need to add to your collection to take your next step. If you haven't thought about the pitfalls yet though, you really need to just to make sure you are ready to go for it.
Rating: Summary: A Twelve Step Spiritual Journey Review: You don't even need to be an actor to love this book. All the better if you are, though. Lerman and Keller do what all good writers and spiritual (and spirited) leaders do - take us on a journey of discovery. Theirs is as much a twelve step plan to success - to becoming a working actor - as it is a guide to becoming self-aware and to unearthing and channeling your strengths. Dawn Lerman's personal stories - her own struggles and triumphs - delightfully punctuate the insights and practical advice offered by Twelve Steps. The book is a superb read and a sound investment for any inspired and aspiring actor.
