Rating: Summary: Saved me so much stress Review: My cat was out of control, was getting into everything. I didn't know what to do. thought if I "fixed" it that would fix it. Nope... right after I got ahold of this great book and started dancing and working closely with my cat. I started to find out what was making her so angry and stressed out, now we are best of friends, and instead of being stressful to me she gives great amounts of soothing mediation. I recommend this book completely
Rating: Summary: Thoughtful, colorfull and a joy to share with others. Review: My wife and I think this book is great and plan to give it to heaps of our friends. When I was a kid I remember my father leaping about with our cat, Tiger, when he came home from work. Tiger could leap as high as his head and sometimes Dad would catch him in his arms, put him on his shoulders and twirl around. We didn't realize that what he was doing was "dancing. " The pictures in the book are amazing. It's made us want to get a cat again.
Rating: Summary: Cat lovers, laugh and enjoy! Review: The photographs of these cats are absolutely stunning and at the same time familiar to anyone who has ever been allowed by a cat to share its home. While the photography is the main draw of this book, don't stop by just looking at the pictures. To truly enjoy the genius of the book, one has to read the comments and interviews with the cat-dancers. From spiritual connection to psycho-babble to childish perceptions, the narration is a delight and a hoot to read. The book is an absolutely perfect parody, leaving the reader just enough convinced to scratch her head and think, "Is this for real?"
Rating: Summary: This is the funniest book I've come across in a long time! Review: The pictures are of the laugh-out-loud variety, and the text had me in tears. I highly recommend this to anyone-even the most under-developed sense of humor will have to crack up when they read some of this stuff. "Helen believes that Boots, her four-year-old Persian, dances so well with her because they share a lot in common. 'He's a Scorpio and I have the sun in Pisces, so there's a good deal of karmic support. Also our auras usually match, and numerologically we're both Eights, which makes for a strong psychic bond." It's the funniest thing since Steve Martin taught us all how to fold soup!
Rating: Summary: Pictures great--calendar awful Review: The pictures in this calendar were as wonderful as described in the book reviews, however, the calendar itself was useless. The dates on the calendar are in such small print that they can't be read from a distance greater than a foot--hardly an advantage in a wall calendar.
Rating: Summary: My most prized possession... Review: This book is the best thing I have ever bought. it never ceaseses to make me laugh.
Rating: Summary: A waste of time, money, and intelligence. Review: This book is the most pathetic excuse for marketing and is an embarrassment to the cat lover's community. I gave this book to my brother-in-law to use as he is a great cat lover, and this book scarred their relationship to this day; his cat refuses to go near him for fear of him lifting up his hand/leg even a little bit. His cat is now paranoid of any people. The pictures are obviously digitally edited. I have seen better ... than this. Please do not think twice (or once) about buying this book. Please, do it for the cats.
Rating: Summary: a waste Review: This book is worthless. It shows insane people dressing up like their cats, throwing them around in the air, and then taking pictures of it. If you truly love cats, you would not buy a book that shows them being subjected to such abuse. Instead call PETA and report this book so it and others like it can be banned.
Rating: Summary: Pretentious Review: This has to be one of the stupidest books I've ever read. When I first picked it up, I thought it was a cat/humor type book. Wrong. These people actually dance with cats. Talk about nutcases. The pictures of the cats were cute but the people dancing about in weird costumes was a bit out there. I adore cats just as much as the next cat lover but this book is a bit too much. Now, if I could get my cat to dance...
