Rating: Summary: Always a DIVA Review: This book is great! Diana, Diana, Diana, through and through. It is packed full of WONDERFUL photos of the # 1 DIVA. A MUST HAVE for any Diana Ross Fan!
Rating: Summary: Eat your hearts out! Review: This book is, in a word, breathtaking! Diana is stunning, glamorous, sexy, powerful, incredibly feminine, and delicious. Page after page, this is what her fans have dreamed of since we saw the beautiful color and b&w photos in "Secrets of a Sparrow". Note to so-called "supremes" fans: Many Diana Ross fans (myself included) prefer her solo work to her Supremes output, both musically and in terms of her evolving beauty and fashion style. Mary Wilson, unfortunately, has tragically shown that Black indeed DO crack!!! BTW, Did you catch her talking about how she bedded Justin Guarini's father years ago, on "American Idol"--but then, she always was "The Sexy One" (definitely NOT the intelligent one!!) I will give her props for her 1996 single "U", but not her jealous, back-stabbing personality. Nothing will ever change the fact that Diana Ross is wealthier, more famous, has all the hit singles, and more adoring fans than Mary will ever have. AND IF she is so darn nice, then WHY did she DISS the 70s Supremes (who can't stand her) by NOT ATTENDING the release party for the 70s Supremes Anthology recently? As though she couldn't use the publicity from that LOL!
Rating: Summary: Black is beautiful Review: Unlike all the other books published about Diana Ross, this one presents one of the most beautiful women of the last century. It must have been hard for black girls in the early 60s to become a fashion idol, but Diana Ross has managed to find her very own style and she found the right photographers to focus on her unique qualities: beautiful face, beautiful skin and beautiful body. Just take a a look at the timeless cover portrait by Skrebneski, and you will agree that Black definately is extremely beautiful...
