Summary: Diana Ross tells us just how fabulous it is to be Diana Ross
Review: .
Wow! Apparently it's just super great to be Diana Ross!

At least that's what Miss Ross herself would have us believe. The whole purpose of this book is for Ross to tell us how great she is and show us how beautiful she is.

The photos are fabulous, if you like looking at photos of Diana Ross.

The "Rossies" (demented fans who live and breathe everything Ross) are swooning over this book, as is Ross herself. For the rest of us, this book is as vacuous as some of La Ross's most recent albums.

"Dreamgirls" and "Supreme Faith" (available separately or combined into one volume) by former Supreme Mary Wilson is a much better choice if you want to read about Ross and the other Supremes (who are not surprisingly missing in action in Ross's book).

Summary: An Extraordinary Picture Book from the DIVA
Review: Before going any further I have to say that this is not a Supremes book and it was not intended to be. Going Back is a photographic journey of Diana Ross and her style. The images in the book are photographs that Diana Ross has the rights to (not Motown) and this is one of the reasons why the Supremes aren't featured and most of the picutres are post 80's. In addition, for fans that want Supreme images, wait for Mary Wilson's coffee table book...I am sure that those will contain Supreme images galore. Now on to the book.....

This remarkable book shows how versatile Diana Ross is in front of the camera. Beautiful photographs from the Josephine Baker sessions, Vouge and numerous other sessions. For the person who loves photography and especially fashion, this is a must have. I highly recommend this book to any fan of Diana Ross, the entertainer or the fashion icon.

Summary: Beautifully Done
Review: Diana Ross is definitly beautiful! Her attire is beautiful but could be a little more modest. I am glad it was just about her I am not interested in The Supremes. The only dissapointment is not much reading in it; I would have liked to have had her write some more in this book. But it was worth the money with all those big color photos of her.

Summary: Diana Ross on how wonderful it is to be Diana Ross.
Review: Diana Ross is such a visual performer that a book of photographs spanning her career is a very natural collection for her to put together. With the exception of Cher, I've never seen a performer who can look so beautiful and so different seemingly at will. Each photo gives the photographer credit and it reads like a who's who with most of the great photo journalist's taking their turn at capturing a unique quality of Diana's timeless beauty. I never get tired of looking through this beautifully done coffee table pictorical memoir. As the title suggests, this book is all about Diana Ross and is scattered with antidote's and notes from Diana herself. If you're not a Diana Ross devotee then this book probably isn't going to do a thing for you and in that case you'd be better off sticking with her music.

Summary: Another Supremes slap in their faces
Review: Granted, the title of the book is DIANA ROSS, but once again, Miss Ross has done her SUPER SOLO STAR thing and completely shunned her Supremes history by omitting pix of her with the group...much in the same fashion she zooms thru The Supremes' Medley at the beginning of her concerts....to get it OUT of the way! Too bad...it usually gets the biggest ovation!!
Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong......please....dig in your photo albums and give the fans what we really want!

Summary: Always a DIVA
Review: I found this book to be a complete waste of time. The pictures assembled are not in any specific order. There is very little text to read in this book. This is a book for fans only. Save your hard earned money.

Summary: Where"s the Supremes photos?
Review: I got the book because I understood it was a photo book but I did think there would be photos of Diana Ross with Mary Wilson, Cindy Birdsong, and Flo Ballard.... The Supremes....as America & the world knew them. I realize the Return to Love Supreme tribute tour was canceled but this was because no one wanted to see two unknown SUPREMES. FANS ARE STILL VERY INTERESTED IN The REAL Supremes....So photos of them Should have been included.
