Summary: Jay Mulveney's done it again!!
Review: This book is STUNNING to look at. I have not bought it yet, but plan to soon. It has lived up to and has surpassed its expectations. Mind you, I only just flipped through it. However, I read Mulveney's previous book, and it was excellent, so I know this will be as well. There are lots and lots of photos from the Camelot years. The layout of the book is very good. And every photo is good--showing the whole outfit, dress, essembly, etc. I bring that up, because I have another book on Jackie fashion, and not always the whole outfit, etc is shown. And if one is paying for a book on fashion--well, wouldn't you want to see the whole outfit?? This book, though "small," is definitely SPECTATULAR to look at. ...

Summary: Fantastic...a beautiful woman, a beautiful book...
Review: This book is WONDERFUL, a really in depth look at the "look" of Camelot and it's queen, Jacqueline Kennedy. An impressive array of photographs, so many of them I've never seen before, illustrating many different aspects of the former First Lady's tenure in the White House...

Plus, there are a lot of interesting stories about the clothes, where they came from, why she chose them and what was happening when she wore them. It's like you are transported back to those magic days and given an insider's pass to all the backstage stories.

It's a beautiful book, one I am proud to own, and one affordable enough for me to give as a gift too (my mother, a real Jackie fan, will LOVE it!).

Summary: A real page turner
Review: This is a compelling, readable, information-packed book as well as a collection of photos, most of which have never been seen before. It was like meeting Jackie for the first time. I loved the author's wit and his insights into not only Mrs. Kennedy's style but her personality and what made her tick. He also placed both the clothes and the woman exquisitely in their era. I read this book for sheer pleasure -- which it was -- but I learned a lot in the process. Reading this book caused me to purchase Jay Mulvaney's earlier book, Kennedy Weddings, which I'm just beginning. It, too, seems to be a winner.

Summary: Chic at its best!
Review: Who else, in all the other First Ladies, could have worn all those beautiful clothes with the chic and style Jackie had! Not many I guess. In this beautiful book, there are some never seen before pictures, that demonstrates what elegance in fashion is all about. It will take a long time before we can see that again in the White House. I treasure that book that makes me relive that unique period of refinement and class that once was in the White House, thanks to Jackie!
