Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good over all
Review: A nice continuation in the series.Rita Hayworth, Dorothy Lamour, and Gene Tierney are the highlights.Maria Montez did not belong here, Bette Davis should have replaced her.Where is Davis in this series? She was the top 40's Actress.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Nice, but not as good as Tierney's others
Review: As a fan of Tierney's paper dolls and of '40s movies, I was disappointed by this book. The artwork is beautiful, as always, but some of the likenesses (Gene Tierney and Veronica Lake) were poor, and in the case of one Gene Tierney costume from _Laura_ Tierney gave her both a hairstyle and dress she never wore in the film! I also didn't care for the emphasis on costumes from _Ziegfeld Girl_, and I found some of the selections disappointing: for example, why include more obscure actresses instead of classic stars like Olivia de Havilland, Joan Fontaine, Katharine Hepburn, and Merle Oberon? I only hope Tierney comes up with a sequel to this book.

Summary: Glamour!
Review: I loved this set of paper dolls & was very pleased with the dolls that were in the book - however: I think that Betty Grable should have been included. She was the most opular pin-up star in the 1940s and I think that she should have been in this set. I hope that Mr. Tierney will do a complete book on her, or as the last reviewer suggested, maybe he could do a second set of the 1940s & include Betty Grable.
