Review: ..I just had to add that I picked this up not knowing that my 30-year quest for a beloved doll that was taken from me was about to end until I turned to the page (near the end) where the two dolls are wearing that famous green dress (the only part of my doll I was able to salvage).

Review: Admittedly I am a bit biased having been a long-time Blythe fan; nonetheless this book has much to delight the new fan as well as the old. This book's creation was obviously a labor of love, and the author's joy is seen clearly in her poetic photographs. Gina Garan has presented us with a new Blythe; an idol as versatile and glamorous as the greatest queen of the silver screen. This book is a must for all doll collectors. And if you are not a current Blythe devotee--watch out!--for you will surely be drawn into the world of this elusive 1970's icon.

Review: Blythe is not simply a doll . . . she is a work of art, a fashion icon, and a superb actress. She can convey with only one glance a million emotions. She is our Garbo of the moment. Her photographer and stylist, Gina, is also a visionary of enormous talent. I, being a girl quite obsessed with fashion, worshipped this read. It has inspired me to play up my eyes, embrace my unique oversized head, and create new ensembles using old vintage items from my closet. I will carry this in my Pucci purse always.

Review: Gina Garan immortalizes the lovely Blythe in this great little book! The photos are fantastic- very rich in color, texture and creativity. It's funny and touching to see this strangely magnetic doll with an oversized head going about her everyday life...inside the mouth of a lion in Vegas, among a mountain of produce at the local market or seeing the sights of New York. Blythe is just too cool and sure to explode in popularity thanks to Ms. Garan's vision! Considering that even a badly damaged Blythe doll goes for over $50 at auction - this book is WELL WORTH IT! You get tons of Blythe-y goodness for a low low price! A must have for anyone who collects eccentricites or appreciates bizarre beauty! ENJOY!

Review: Gina Garan is a Living doll! she actualy looks like one!I think she should put out more of these books every year! What a wonderful artist she is! She actualy has a trace of parody in her work because there is so much there in Blythe that is also in thje modles that we see,a cuteness,but a little devil inside....The back grounds / concepts she has chosen are minature examples of what is eye catching and what they choose these days in the fashion world. This book is with the times!It is difficult to capture the current aura of the times without making it look hoaky...but Garan succeeds! She should make a calender!
