Review: I bought this book when it first came out in 1985 because I collect unusal cookbooks on apples. The author is from Nova Scotia her style is not the run of the mill.The recipes are hand written and more than just apple pie. There is a nice introduction,good index and a wide variety of recipes.Such as dried apple rings,Annapolis Valley ice cream,Santa Fe Slaw,Apple stuffings,Jams and Jellies and cakes, cookies and pies. The side comments and sketches make this a fun book to have on the shelf. B R Buszek also has written similar Connection books about Crannberries,Blueberries,Strawberries,and Maple syrup.
