Summary: Next Generation Cooking at Last!
Review: Mrs. Cooksey seems to be destined to help define the 21st century cook. This book has an unpretentious feel that gets you right into the nuts and bolts of the recipes in no time flat! I can't wait to see this rumored Dinner and Dessert with Victoria! If this lady can teach me to look good in the kitchen, then imagine what veteran cooks could do with this. I love how she encourages the reader to change any aspect of the recipe to suit individual tastes. I needed to see that there is a pro out there that still gets creative and thinks freely. Thanks!

Summary: A good first attempt.
Review: The recipies are interesting, and many show creativity. Many of them are also simple and quick to make. The book would have benefitted greatly from photographs to illustrate some of the ideas that Mrs. Cooksey describes for presentation, and also as a quick reference. There were an unusual number of typos, but the book is well organized, and the recipies are well laid out. This cookbook would be a good gift for a person new to cooking, but does not offer a great deal for the kitchen veteran.

Summary: New and Improved Thinking
Review: There is no doubt that we will be standing in line to see this girl in about year or so. Fresh, intuitive, approachable: no question that Mrs. Cooksey is what the industries need now (food and entertainment). I hope that she is able to carry her writing style into the future of food and recipe development. I wonder if she has developed menus for any of her hometown places?

Summary: A good first attempt.
Review: This book has thrown off the shackles of the Ina Garten and Martha Stewart dominated world of cooking and entertaining and provided a professional yet easy to approach method of great food, brilliant entertaining tips and realistic shopping lists of affordable ingredients. No more must we watch Martha or Ina make macaroni and cheese using eighty-five dollars and seven hours of money and effort. Thank you Victoria!!
