Review: Originally, I purchased this book to use as a doorstop, but during my 5 years in a Turkish prison with only back issues of High Lights and Industrial Plastics Weekly to read, I finally cracked it - and boy, was I surprised! Not your usual cookbook: Marie Louise's terrific recipes lay bare the basics (and many advanced techniques) for cooking Acadians, Cajuns, and a wide variety of other southern folks. Mmmm! Fried hamster was never this good.
