Summary: Cooking for Health: Diabetes and Hypoglycemia
Review: I recently started a macrobiotics diet, hoping to find help with some chronic health problems. I started on my own, from instructions in a basic book on macrobiotics. Quickly developed problems with upsetting hypoglycemic episodes that shook my confidence in my ability to proceed on my own.

After reading Aveline Kushi's book on diabetes and hypoglycemia, I learned that my diet was out of balance for the particular needs of someone with hypoglycemia. After making the recommended changes, I have stopped having blood sugar problems and feel that I can stay on the macrobiotics diet and continue to enjoy the healing benefits of it.

I'm grateful for the help in this simple, readable but important book.
