Summary: A glorious array of dishes reflecting refined taste and styl
Review: As an inveterate collector of cookbooks and a dedicated chef, it takes a great deal to impress me. I was impressed by this elegant collection of old southern recipes finely woven together with "...brief vignettes of the charmed life in Tampa at the turn of the century..." Compiled by The Chiselers, Inc., a nonprofit organization of women dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Moorish buildings of the Old Tampa Bay Hotel, the cookbook is a feast for the eyes as well as for the palate. Its concoctions range from Cream Of Peanut Soup through Drunken Drumsticks to Sticky Toffee Pudding and Key Lime Cookies. The cuisine is elegant, irresistible and evocative of the deep south. For those of refined taste and style, a glorious array of dishes!
