Summary: Take the guesswork out of wine selection.
Review: If you don't know a Zinfandel from a Merlot, this is the book for you. The very first wine I selected using this guide was my best purchase to date. It's a must if you plan on touring the wineries of California. This simple to read and easy to understand book makes a pseudo-connoisseur out of a novice.

Summary: Resonably complete and well organized
Review: With 2,500 wines reviewed, you'd think that the whole spectrum of California vintages would be covered...however, I found many of my favorite wines missing. Overall, its a good solid reference and worth the price.
