Rating: Summary: A lost treasure. Review: After eating at Mrs. Doshi's restaurant in San Francisco (which was sadly sold and then shut down), I hunted down a used copy of this marvellous cookbook. I consider myself a connoisseur of Indian food, and I must say that this is the best Indian cookbook that I have come across. It is a shame that it is out of print. I have heard that Mrs. Doshi will shortly be publishing a second, vegetarian cookbook that draws inspiration from her fabulous work at her restaurant.

Rating: Summary: Most used cookbook in my kitchen Review: I bought a copy at a bookstore in Berkeley years ago and has become my favorite cook book, everything turns out just as described. If they do reprint I hope they add nutritional information with each serving, suggested menus to combine with for a complete meal. She does in many instances, but a section just with menus.
Rating: Summary: One of the best..... Review: Recently, I have been forced to drastically alter my diet due to high cholesterol. A friend from the San Francisco area loaned me this book in an effort to help me maintain a healthier diet. At first, I was skeptical. Accustomed to four course business lunches and dinners, I didn't think I would enjoy vegetarian Indian meals. How wrong I was. The dishes taste superb and the directions very easy to follow. With my wife, we have even entertained business associates from India and they too have been impressed. With its emphasis on fresh, low fat ingredients, this book has made staying on my diet a breeze. Even though I still enjoy a nice steak once in a blue moon, rice and daals, as well as other recipes from the book, have become staples of my diet. My only concern is, how can I get additional copies and has Ms. Doshi written other cookbooks?
