Review: As its title suggests, this cookbook presents both tried-and-true and updated recipes that will appeal to kosher and non-kosher cooks alike. The type is clear and easy to read and the recipes are realistic for today's cook, both in terms of ingredients and time involved. There are no gorgeous photographs of what the finished dish should look like - but then again, it never does! My daughter uses the recipes to impress her new boyfriend, and I use them to relieve the terminal boredom of preparing yet another meal
