Summary: What a variety!
Review: I've had this book for about a year, and return to it often - whole grain hippie breads, quick breads, oddities I'll never make but enjoy reading about. It's all homey and cheerful, appreciative and old-fashioned. The Taos pumpkin bread is great, my sister loves the one-hour rustic Puerto Rican bread.

Summary: Variety without trendiness
Review: You'd have to be blind not to notice that bread is the "in" thing right now. With the proliferation of baking stones and bread machines right now you might as well jump on the bandwagon. M. Grubers book has a wondrous of variety of recipes (none of which call for the aforementioned items). Even better, America's bread book demonstrates the amazing scope of people within these United States. As well as putting some tasty eats within reach. I checked this one out of the 'brary so many times, I finally had to buy it!
