Summary: What could be easier?
Review: 2nd Serving of Busy People's Low-Fat Recipes is more than a handy, imaginative, food-lover's bible of taste-pleasing, scrumptious recipes for favorite foods in all categories that are unrelentingly delicious as well as low fat and nutritious. I repeat that it is all of the above and more. 2nd Serving is one woman's testament about living a good life, filled with spiritually uplifting messages about the joy of her daily struggle with demands of living and her certainty of the love of God. Seasoned with aphorisms by Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, Pastor Clay, and others, these vibrant recipes appeal from every page. Some of the tempting recipes I tried were:

Cranberry Corn Muffins (made with egg whites, corn muffin mix, cheddar cheese, and craisins) Maple Yams Reuben Salad (great taste of Reuben sandwiches and low-fat!) Chicken Fried Steak (my husband raved!) Turtle Cake (to die for, and an incredible 240 calories per serving)

There are handy menu ideas and suggestions and specific dietary content reports at the end of each recipe, carefully broken down by, for example, the variety of meat used in the recipe so you can choose your diet/content with precision and taste. 2nd Serving is the third cookbook by talented author Dawn Hall. She directs that 10% of her profits go to "Solid Rock," an inner city outreach program for children and teens in Toledo. Dawn Hall is both inspirational and candid in her introduction and subsequent chapter, "One on One with Dawn." Devoted to her family, she has explored her "weaknesses" or liabilities such as food addiction and love of talking and found they were God's gifts to her to be shared with the world. Lucky world! We get to reap the benefit of her inspired creativity with every mouthful! 2nd Serving is also designed to be a fundraiser tool, with helpful suggestions and contacts listed in the back. 2nd Serving is a wonderful cookbook for life!

Review: I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in quick, tasty low-fat meals. This cook book and Dawn's other low fat cook books are perfect for those of us who work and don't have a lot of time to prepare a healthy meal. There are also many recipes marked "budget friendly" that helps you to prepare lower cost meals. The recipes really makes meal planning easy especially when you are cooking for you and others that are not exactly watching their fat intake!

Review: If you don't like to cook from scratch, you'll love this cookbook. Everything comes from a box, bottle, can or package...as easy as using a can opener. Friendly, down to earth format makes this a pleasant, even if not super healthy, cookbook.

Summary: 2ND Serving of Busy People's Low-Fat Recipes for the New Mie
Review: This cookbook is extremely user-friendly. The directions are so super easy to follow that I've tried many recipes. Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli on Pg.113 was great and very easy to make. Beef and Broccoli Casserole with Zesty Cheese Sauce Pg.130 was also very yummy. My kid's really liked the Italian Mini Meatloaves Pg.133. The Cranberry Corn Muffins Pg.43 were so good I've made them three times now. Dawn's Breakfast Parfait Pg.167 is delicious and so easy to prepare I also have it for a snack. 2ND SERVING OF BUSY PEOPLE'S LOW-FAT RECIPES FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM by Dawn Hall is so refreshingly uncomplicated you will want to use these recipes again and again.
