Rating: Summary: Staple cookbook for any dessert fanatic! Review: I have had this book for over 10 years (!!) and it gets regular use in my kitchen. The simple recipes are easy enough for kids to make but delicious enough to please dinner guests. The recipes are fool-proof; I've never had a bad outcome. Everything from the pumpkin pie to the sticky "sinnabuns" (which I made for Easter this year) are wonderful! A definite crowd-pleasing cookbook.

Rating: Summary: Best baking cookbook ever Review: Like the other reviewers, I cannot believe that it's been 10 years since I got this cookbook! It is amazing. Very simple and straightforward, with delicious recipes that are pretty easy to make. Two of my favorites are the Hershey's Kiss "Kookies" and the Panda Bear Brownies. But everything is so delicious. Okay, I am making myself hungry so I'm going to end this review. Get this book! You won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: A great piece of "Baking Americana"! Review: This is a novice baker's bible! I have prepared many recipes from Alison's book and all have been well received. In fact, I never have to worry about leftovers because there are none!I look forward to the next family and friends function so I can bake something out of this book. It is very easy to follow with easy to find ingredients. Two favorites: Blueberry Buckle Pie and Charleston Lemon Chess Pie.
