Rating: Summary: Not for me Review: I love watching Mary Ann Esposito on her cooking shows. Recently, I saw her making the double foccacia pizza, and thought it would be tasty. So when I went to the library I was happy to see that they had the book, and took it out. For me this is a good way to test drive instructional books, and see if they are worth buying. This book is divided into three sections. You have recipes using a basic pizza dough, a sour dough, and a sweet dough. So, I made the recipe for the double foccacia pizza. I followed the instructions carefully for a Kitchen Aid Mixer, using the flour she suggested and weighing it. I wasn't able to make two 16" rounds with half of the dough. The pizza came out very crusty almost like a cracker. My family didn't particular like the taste. The stuffing was fine though, but you have to like the taste of vinegary foods. With the other half of the dough, I made a basic pizza, it was just o.k. I've had great success with other recipes like The Frugal Gourmet's Chicago style pizza, and from the book "Classic Italian Cooking" for vegetarians. I didn't want to take the time to make any more recipes to see if they would work. Perhaps, you will have better success!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful picture book! Review: This book makes it so easy to bake bread. The three basic recipes are so versatile.
