Summary: A Wonderful Excursion into the World of Zinfandel
Review: I have been a Zinfandel lover for more than 20 years and if you share my enthusiasm for this wine, you will find this book fascinating. The author clearly loves Zinfandel, in all its manifestations and styles. In the book she interviews numerous Zin winemakers (Paul Draper, Joel Peterson, Kent Rosenblum, etc), and visits Zinfandel vineyards all over California (Sonoma, Napa, Amador, Paso Robles, etc) to get the story of how a particular Zinfandel vineyard was established and why the people are so passionate about the wine.
There have been other books about Zinfandel (David Darlington, for example) which were interesting but this one includes the insights from multiple people (both growers and winemakers). If you love Zinfandel you should definitely consider adding this book to your library.
