Summary: Bland and boring
Review: I found the dishes to be very bland and boring. You seem to eat much of the same style of food. There is not much variety, just like most of the other diets on the planet. I did not prepare a single dish that ended up looking like the pictures in the book. I highly recommend The Zone diet. The dishes were easier to prepare and much more delicious. I lost 7 pounds in 20 days on the five square program. However, I lost 18 pounds on The Zone Diet.

Summary: Delicious way to diet!
Review: I purchased Monica Lynn's book to help me create healthy meals for myself and my husband. I was surprised at how easy Monica's meals are to create. I have lost 8 pounds and my husband has lost 17 pounds in 3 weeks! I am so thrilled! I have bought a ton of diet books over the years and I must say - this one works with ease. The recipes are so simple - I double them to save myself time with cooking. Lynn suggests saving the leftovers for the next days meals and portioning them out - brilliant. It is never easy to change ones eating habits and I must say - I rebelled at first...thankfully my husband is one of those people that get really focused and he motivated me to stay on track. I had sugar withdrawals the first 2 days as Lynn said I would...thankfully by day three I felt leaner and had more energy than I have had in years. This book is a no-brainer.

Summary: HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS DOESN'T GET ANY EASIER
Review: I received this book as a gift and I was blown away at how simple the system was! No more cravings, no more bloat, and yummy recipes - my favorite and the easiest - balsamic chicken strips has become my staple at snack time. I have been following the plan religiously for 3 weeks and have lost almost 15 pounds already! My cravings diminished, my energy shot through the roof - and being a preschool teacher, I sure needed that.

Lynn gets right to the "meat and potatoes" of weight loss - no fancy technical stuff - just easy to follow guidelines, menus, and directions. The food diaries were key and I now feel that there is no other way to eat than "5 square" meals a day.

Summary: Easy, Tasty, and it worked! what more do you need
Review: The book I bought was really easy to read, helpful, and .. though I never thought I'd be saying this about any diet food.. delicious. I'm no culinary expert, but my meals came out looking pretty nice.. though I don't remember having any pictures to compare them too. Nonetheless, easy read, easy recipes, tasty meals, and a leaner me. Would recommend to anyone.

Summary: In response to "Body for Life" review
Review: The results are in - the book has been a great success for me both in business and for personal gratification! 5 squares has assisted thousands of individuals over the years attain weight loss and general sense of good health. To write a review such as the one listed by my company's competitor is both malicious and misleading. If the author of the review would have even opened the book - he would have known that there were no pictures to compare his dishes to in the first place. Perhaps, Amazon should require an individual to purchase a book before he/she is able to write a review.
The Zone Diet, as mentioned in the review is a wonderful healthy eating program, one which I highly recommend. Dr. Barry Sears is a brilliant scientist, and a personal friend of mine. Our programs are rather parallel and we have worked together over the last year to get the word out on how healthy and wonderful eating this way is - how eating "clean" can change your life. I offer you this challenge Sir Body for Life - I will personally cook and deliver your meals to you free of charge if you would be so kind as to read a book before you slanderously review it.

Summary: "Body For Life" Review - Just Sour Grapes....
Review: The results are indeed in for me. As a veteran dieter with a lot of weight to lose, I have been on Monica Lynn's program for 3 months and have lost nearly 40lbs so far and the pounds keep coming off! I have more energy and feel better than I have in 10 years. I was buying a copy of this fantastic book for a friend of mine when I saw the ridiculous and misleading comments by the Body For Life guru and I just needed to set the record straight. The 5 Squares food is delicious, the program is no-nonsense and easy to follow and the results are amazing! This is only "diet" that I have ever been on that has enabled me to truly change my eating habits. I tried the Zone Diet for a much longer period of time which much less success. This book could change your life, it has certainly changed mine.
