Summary: Great Guide (but Needs Updating)
Review: I bought this book several years ago at the same time as the Touring in Wine Country - Burgundy (Duijker). This one gets much more use. Their hotel and restaurant recommendations are as useful as the wine tips, focusing on a nice range of places. The multi color type makes is very user-friendly (hotels are one color, vineyards another, etc). Like most wine tour books for France, it does devote too much attention to small exclusive producers who are happy to receive wine book authors, but not very interested in hosting casual tourists. But this one is better than others. One caution - published in 1997, it needs an update.

Review: This guide was in our hotel room in Dijon and it turned out to be the most useful guide we had along. It gave us good details of things to see and directions, as well as hours open and if there was a fee. For people that like wine and don't know alot about it, this book gave some good, general information to guide us in our quest for wine tasting cellars and types of wine we may like to bring back. We will buy the book for ourselves for our next trip in a few months.
