Rating: Summary: Waste of money Review: Don't waste your money. As a margarita lover, I was hoping for some interesting twists on the classic, including good recipes for the classic. This book is about 40 of the same recipes, only with different tequilas and liqueurs. So, the Cuervo Silver margarita and the Cuervo Gold margarita are two recipes, exactly the same, only one uses silver and one gold. Then, this repeats about 40 times with different brands. I can write just as useful a book in one page: Equal parts tequila and lime, slightly less than an equal part liqueur- you choose the brands. Mix them, let them sit for a while, and there you go.
Rating: Summary: Worthless... Review: EVERY recipe is the same. Just substitute different tequillas, different oarnge liquers, lemon juice, and give it a crazy name to get every single recipe. Everybody loves fruit twists in their margarita nowadays, but there is only one mention of a strawberry and a peach margarita at the end. It ends up being just a big ad for the resaurant where all these margaritas were "invented." The pictures are pretty, though.
Rating: Summary: True Aficionados Handbook on Margaritas Review: Having tried many "authentic" margaritas, Maria's is truly the pinnacle. Don't buy this book if you are trying to duplicate a Chile's "premium" frozen margarita. If you go to Maria's and ask for a frozen margarita, they just might throw you out of the place. True the three ingredients are almost always 100% agave tequila, triple-sec (Bols, Cointreau, & Grand Marnier), and lemon juice (for its year-round consistency) or lime juice, but they have matched different tequilas to go with different triple-secs. Throw away all your preconceptions of what a margarita should tastle like, and really try one of these great recipes. Better yet hit Marias's in Santa Fe for a couple of their super premium margaritas. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: 75 Recipes for the same margarita Review: I bought this book in preparation for a party. When the book showed up, I was severly disappointed - it's basically the same recipe over and over again using different tequilas. The book does briefly talk about a lot of different tequilas and has a few (and I do mean few) recipes for other margaritas (fruit etc). But instead of buying this book, try [web address] you'll find a much better variety and save yourself the money.

Rating: Summary: Waste of paper Review: I bought this book in preparation for a trip to Mexico. When the book showed up, I was very disappointed - it's basically the same recipe over and over again using different tequilas.Buy a book about Tequilas and experiment with the Tequilas that appeal to you using this formula; 1.25oz Tequila, 1oz citrus liquer of your choice and 1.5oz fresh squeezed lemo or lime juice. Repeat 75 times substituting various Terquilas and liquers and you will have replicated this book. Happy Margaritaville!
Rating: Summary: True Aficionados Handbook on Margaritas Review: If all you want is one recipe for a margarita this is the book for you. It takes the same formula over and over (tequila, triple sec and lime juice) then varies the type of tequila and triple sec. What a waste of good paper. But it is printed well, great layout, nice photos and illustrations.

Rating: Summary: A Disappointment Review: If you want to learn about some different brands of tequila, this is okay, but you can get more and better information for free online. The margarita recipes are virtually identical. It's unbelievable that they have them printed over and over again, page after page, just with a different brand of tequila.
Rating: Summary: BUY THIS BOOK!!! :) Review: OK. I bought this book originally from a store at the Dallas airport. I had no idea it was available online. This book is for the TRUE Margarita Fan. Ya, there are recpies that seem to repeat themselves...but the information on tequila making, Margarita history and ratings of premium tequila selections make it all worth it. I prefer to use limes not lemons like they call for. It is just all that much better. If you are interested in true 100% Agave Tequila (the only way to go) and Margarita information BUY THIS BOOK! It also makes a great gift! I have included it in many Margarita Gift Baskets I have made. It is well worth it's cheap price! I am enjoying a Margarita as I write this! Cheers! Salud!
