Rating: Summary: Great Cookbook Review: I love this cookbook! I was ordering another because my mom took the first one. If you want standard bland American fare then this cookbook is not for you. The dishes here reflect a diverse ethnic range with a variety of flavors and spices. Our family particularly enjoyed the pozole and tomatillo pork stew which is a different take on my chile verde but just as well loved. I highly recommend this book to those wanting to expand their crockpot cooking from boring to exciting!
Rating: Summary: GREAT cookbook! Easy, tasty, and convenient! Review: A must for crock pot lovers or those who want to try out a new method of cooking! I love one-pot-meals & I love this cookbook! I have lots of cookbooks but use only 2 of them on a regular basis...one of them is an out of print "One Pot Meals" cookbook I picked up at a used bookstore and the other is this book! Easy and tasty recipes that are great for a busy lifestyle. Even the desserts turn out great and are easy to do!

Rating: Summary: Good but does not serve the purpose of a slow cooker for me Review: Although this book has some great recipies, I found that many of them took only 3-5 hours of cooking. The whole reason I use a slow cooker is to put everything into the pot before I leave for work and have it ready when I get back, at least 8 hours later. If the cooking time is 3 hours, the recipe is of no use to me.
Rating: Summary: disappointing, not worth the money, worst slow cookbook ever Review: Book is not really geared to the every-day houswife. Good basic everday dishes just aren't there. The desserts and beverages I will make in the slow cooker are far and few between. Personally I need meat mainstay menus.
Rating: Summary: Total waste of money. Review: Book is tiny, limited in scope. Not at all pertinent or helpful to busy households. If this is the best I cannot imagine the worst.
Rating: Summary: It is the Best Review: For years my crockpot just sat in the cupboard, until I bought this book. I had no idea just how very easy it could be, or how delicious. I've prepared at least half the recipes for my family and have yet to find one that anyone didn't like; an impressive feat for a family with several children. The side- and main-dishes are quick and easy to prepare and the desserts are especially tasty.
Rating: Summary: what about the taste? Review: I bought this book based on the reviews I read here online. The complaints seemed limited to the type of food, & I thought the recipes looked intriguing, so I bought it. I even went out and purchased a timer so I could make the 4 hour dishes. What a mistake! We have made at least 10 different recipes, followed them to the letter, and except for the oriental beef stew, they ALL taste nasty. A second beef stew filled with onions and no veggies and the Normandy chicken with apples were especially inedible. This book was an incredible disappointment. I would recommend anyone, especially if you have kids, to steer away from this book (your kids will NOT eat this stuff!).
Rating: Summary: Great Little Cookbook Review: I bought this book with some trepidation due to previous reviews. However, I was quite pleased with the simplicity, ease of use and turn-out of meals from this book. It is not a "gourmet" selection, does not offer to be one, and does exactly what the title purports. It offers quick, easy to prepare, tasty (and healthier)alternatives to the fast food gutbusters and fried offerings for those early to work, late home modern family days. It is a wonderful little book, suits it's purpose well and needs to be considered on that level. Great buy.
Rating: Summary: The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever Review: I went through the entire book page by page and did not find one recipe that sounded good enough to even try. It was a real disappointment!
