Review: Finally a cookbook that really is fast and fun...and good! We just had a baby and during my maternity leave I needed some super simple, yet tasty meals. I love to cook but just don't have the time any more. I was able to prepare many of them during one of my baby's 1/2 naps. A few of them are now my husband's favorite dishes that he asks for over and over again. Past cookbooks I've owned said they were easy, every night meals but they still required too much prep time. We have an hour commute and a new baby and I still can find time to get a good meal on the table. Bought copies for my mom and sister...they love it too!

Summary: Not What I Expected From Bon Appetit
Review: I anxiously await Bon Appetit's cookbooks. They are typically very good for someone like myself who enjoys cooking as a hobby but also loves tasting food. The recipes in this particular book were SOOO basic/boring, I was disappointed! The majority of the recipes were something I could have come up with after not having gone grocery shopping for three weeks! If you're looking for BASIC-BASIC, I guess this is okay--kinda like "How to Make a Sandwich-101. But not for someone who thoroughly enjoys the art of cooking and entertaining. Sorry, Bon Appetit--I'll still buy your yearly cookbooks, though--they are wonderful!

Review: I disagree with the other reviewers who said this cookbook was boring and a waste of money. The cookbook is called "Every-Night Cooking" which does not mean time-consuimg fabulous meals for entertaining! I subscribe to Bon Appetit and love to cook, but I don't always have the time to spend 4 to 6 hours creating a masterpiece. This book is not fancy, but is perfect for quick family meals when you when don't have a plethora of time.

Review: I realize that sometimes you want a cookbook that will push the limits, and show you no creative bounds. Other times you want a book that will just outline some simple recipes that you could make at the drop of a hat or simply don't feel like pulling out all the stops, and you know that they will be good. This is that book.

Review: This book is fabulous. I found a copy from the library, tried a new recipe every night for a week, loved them and had to own the book. This book is for those of us who want a great home cooked meal but can only devote an hour of our time to it. Another nice thing about Every-Night Cooking is that anyone can follow the recipe and make a great meal. You don't need any exotic ingredients or equipment. My husband and I are moving to Germany in a few months, and this will be the cook book I pack in my carry-on while we wait for the rest of our stuff to arrive!

We borrowed it from the library and used it every night for the work week and were pleasantly surprised. The meatloaf was very tasty as was the cobb salad and many other selections. A great find for a couple or a small family--most of the meals feed only 4. Very nice!

Review: This cookbook was not what I expected at all. Most of the recipes are not that interesting/appealing and not what you would expect from Bon Appetit. I may use two recipes out of the entire book. Suggest you not waste your $$.
