Rating: Summary: Just perfect Review: We love this book! My husband and I love to cook, but often don't like to think of what to cook, so we'd just fall back on pasta. Not anymore! It's gotten us to try things that we wouldn't normally (we'd only go for the sure successes), and while not everything has been outstanding, everything has been good.
Rating: Summary: A delicious way to escape mealtime boredom! Review: We purchased this book two years ago and have been delighted with the opportunity to have something different 5 days a week. Just imagine, in two years you only eat the same meal twice! And the meals are great and varied. Only the deserts need to be "reduced" for the normal daily meal.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful for the naturally scattered person Review: With 8 kids and 1 husband this cookbook has given us direction at dinnertime. The shopping list is great organization, and they all help with the cooking (huge plus). We love trying something new each day. I also like looking in the refridgerator knowing we will use everything in there instead of wondering "if or how" we will. We have a sit down meal and it is quality family time. They are colorful meals that can easily be adapted if needed. My only regret is that it was stolen from me yesterday as my son accidentaly left it in the shopping cart. I have depended on it for months. If it is not returned, I will order another one asap!
Rating: Summary: Well organized time-saver that uses everyday ingredients Review: Wonderful book. It organizes meal time into one hour of fast activity that ends with a main course, one to two vegetables and a dessert (if you're not dieting). The shopping list, countdown and two page spread for all instructions were an organized person's dream come true. The ingredients, purchased once a week, were frugally used throughout the week's recipes. The recipes themselves were creative in the combination of ingredients. My husband and I now cook together for the first time! Thanks for this book - please write more.
