Review: Helene Siegel continues to delight and amaze us with her TOTALLY COOKBOOK collection. The call of the wild has proved irresistable, as Helene takes us TOTALLY CAMPING. Whether your idea of roughing it is an over-night at a local park or a weekend in Yosemite, there's nothing like a hearty meal at the beginning (or end) of a day outdoors. Forget the trail mix, instant oatmeal, and powdered eggs. This is real food!

Summary: The Totally Camping Cookbook (totally camping)
Review: I go on camping trips all the time. I figured that I must purchase a book which will tell me when is the best time to prepare 'wildlife' foods, how to cope with the weather changes, and all sortsa different ways of food preperation and preservation. Since i bought this book, my camping trips are so much more fun, and they appear to be much safer.

Summary: Useless information
Review: I was very disappointed in this book. It was way too basic.

Summary: All you need for the out doors
Review: This is one of the best out door cooking camping books on the market. the recepies are not hard to follow and they are great tasting. This book is written very well and i rate it one of the top book out there.

Summary: Pocket-sized disappointment
Review: When I saw this compact book on-line, I was thrilled with the prospect of having a handy PORTABLE cooking book to add to our Boy Scout Troop grub box.

The size is just right, but there are very few recipes that typical boys would make. The cover shows a fish ... and recipes tend to that direction -- more 'elaborate' than most boys are interested in ... or often, have the TIME to make during camping events.

I gave it to the Troop, but don't feel it was as useful as it could have been.
