Review: This is a FANTASTIC cookbook. One of my very first cookbooks. ALL of the recipes are great I've made everything from soup to bread in this book. The very best is the shrimp Bisque. Make this for your family and I bet it'll be a new favorite!

Review: When I first got married at 20 years old, I was completely clueless in the kitchen. This book was a gift from my grandma, and it saved my life! Or at least turned me into a good cook...

Every single recipe in the book has a thumbnail photo, indexed in the front according to type.. eggs, poultry, meat, breads, etc. Being able to see what the heck the finished recipe is supposed to look like took the scare out of trying cook.

Now many many years later, I'm still using recipes from those food-stained pages, and still getting raves from dinner guests and co-workers!! And now I'm going to order it for a kitchen-impared friend of mine.
