Review: About time someone comes up with a great cookbook that only takes 4 ingredients to make a great meal! My family loves the meals that i get from this book. Way to go Linda and Emily - keep up the great work.

Summary: New Mother, New Cook!!!
Review: As a new mother and new cook I found this book great. On a limited budget try to feed a hungry husband we can have different dishes often. I can add my own spices to these recipes or put in a few extra veggies to give it more substance. I use this cook almost everyday. Especially the low fat section. I think it is one of the best cookbooks I have ever found!!

Summary: Attention Beginners
Review: I am a 28 year old military wife who is NOT a good cook. I have been known to ruin even the "easiest things" like instant pudding. I got this from my mom because she knew of my kitchen related frustrations. I had it for two years and then OPENED it. OH MY LORD. I use it constantly. Let me tell you something, this cookbook is still the ONLY one I own. Not only did it get me IN the kitchen, it also made me proud to serve what I made to my family. It was wondeful for me because it used ingredients that are on hand, inexpensive, and easy to locate nationwide. The taste and the color of these dishes are amazing. Sometimes, I put two recipes together (making it six or eight ingredient) to get some other dish that I have had to write in. I feel this book is fantastic to get that "mot so rich" or "fearing another failed recipe" cook to a become successful. It is THAT good.

Summary: Excellent for College Students!
Review: I bought this cookbook for my daughter who was going away to college and would be away from home for the first time. I thought it would be quick, easy and inexpensive for her to cook from. I was right! What I didn't expect was how much I would ultimately use it myself after she came back home again. It is filled with tasty recipes that go together quickly on my busiest of days.

Summary: Four Ingredient Cookbook
Review: I found this cookbook a wonderful resource for quick meals and a break from my standards. The recipes are quick and easy. You can eliminate ingredients for the picky eater or add to make them suitable for your own tastes. This is not french cooking, so don't expect that. What this is, is a great way to serve a variety of quick simple meals.

Summary: The Four Ingredient Cookbooks
Review: I found this cookbook on a bargain table, and I'm glad I didn't pay full price. Sure, it has some gems: the mixed drinks work pretty well, and the sauces are good if you can get them right. The cranberry and orange sauce, for instance, was fine. The book also has some interesting and unique ideas for dishes. Root vegetable chips? Sardine-stuffed tomatoes? Well, I'm open-minded; I don't mind trying new things.

But not everything goes quite as planned. For instance, the bread sauce, intended to top roast chicken or turkey, was pretty lousy. Nasty consistency, strange taste, and yes I followed the recipe.

And there's another thing: it SAYS 4 ingredients, but only technically. There might be only four ingredients in the sauce or the pie filling or whatever, but then you might have 17 more ingredients for the other part of the dish. One also has to take into account the many kitchen supplies required by this particular set of recipes. If you have a fully stocked kitchen, great. But if you're like me and just starting out, wait a few years and judge for yourself if this is really the cookbook for you.

Summary: 4 Ingredient Cookbook is as easy as 1-2-3!
Review: I have never been much of a cook. I hate the mess, hate buying the various ingredients, and I hate cleaning up. I have made at least a dozen of the recipes in this book and my family not only enjoyed the taste but I enjoyed the ease of a simple recipe, simple shopping, and happy faces at the dinner table. This was a fantastic find I purchased on recommendation from a friend!
