Summary: Fabulous!
Review: Cooking for the Week : Leisurely Weekend Cooking for Easy WeekDAY Meals by Diane Morgan, et al

This is one of the better cookbooks I have seen. The book is well written, the recipes are clear and easy to follow, not to mention delicious.

I recommend this book to anyone who has asked themselves what to do with leftovers or said that there is nothing in the house to eat.

This book will get you thinking in a new, better, way about menu planning.

Summary: Intentionally creating leftovers makes cooking easier.
Review: Good cooks know that an empty refrigerator dooms the household chef to starting from scratch every time dinner is on the horizon. "Leftovers" don't have to be served the same way twice and are usually more appealing when they are not. A few minutes spent with a knife, cutting board, and a little imagination can turn a pumpkin into a coach. This book is dedicated to the proposition that good cooks can open the refrigerator, inventory the perishable contents, and come up with an appealing plan to use them. Smart cooks plan the whole thing in advance! Cooking for the Week is about getting smart with leftovers.

Summary: The book is brilliant, practical and user friendly!
Review: I am a huge fan of this trio, Diane Morgan and Kathleen and Dan Taggart(authors of A Basic Gourmet Entertains, Very Entertaining and Entertaining People. Cooking for the Week is one of the most inspiring cookbooks that I have read in a long time. It is truly brilliant. It makes such perfect sense to make a large meal at the beginning of the week and turn the "leftovers" into interesting fare throughout the week.I have incorporated this book into my life(as should you) and my family is thrilled. They say, no more boring leftovers. This book is a must. It is an enormous contribution to anybody who enjoys cooking for their family.

Summary: Loved this book!
Review: I bought this book for everyone at my office. It is the best book that I've seen for organized cooking that does not include canned soup, processed cheese etc.

If there are more like this out there, please let me know!

Summary: On the go gourmets try this book!
Review: My wife and I recently purchased this book with the hopes of being able to plan ahead for the week with a gourmet twist. This book has exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The meals are not only fun to prepare, but have gotten rave reviews with everyone we have shared them with. The book contains a broad selection of menus with varied meats as the theme. This versatility has really kept us trying each set of meals. We have currently tried the first two weeks and are excited about the remaining eleven. The chocolate cheesecake for week one is outstanding. If you like cheesecake, this recipe alone is worth the price of the book. The pepper crusted tuna with grilled asparagus and grilled potatoes will keep you coming back for more. If you are a person who enjoys cooking good food, but also enjoys a very busy and active life, then this book is for you. Enjoy and bon apetite.

Summary: Looks great but we don't eat this food
Review: The recipes in this book are touted as kid-friendly, but my kids don't eat tuna or salmon or many of the seasonings in these meals. If you eat "fancy" meals most of the time I think you would really like this cookbook, but I'm sending mine back.
