Review: This book is excellent for recipe content and photography of recipes. Each recipe I have tried so far is delicious. I have collected Southern Living recipe books for years and this the best one.

Review: This book is incredible! I highly recommend it to experienced cooks and new ones. I purchased my copy directly from Oxford House, but my friend just had to have a copy. Just about everything is in here. All cooks should have this book. Anybody who THINKS (s)he's a cook should have this book.

Review: This book is truly a comprehensive collection of recipes. I work as a home economist, and this book contains most of the recipes that the public requests. It sits on my desk with my "easy-to-reach" references. As is typical of Southern Living cookbooks, recipes are presented in an easy-to-read, organized format that makes cooking a pleasure, even for the novice. I give this cookbook as a gift for weddings, graduations, and housewarmings. One of the best I've ever run across in my work. I have my own copy as well.

Summary: The Ultimate in Cookbooks!!!
Review: This is by far the most comprehensive, helpful, pretty, and best basic cookbook with a contemporary flare that I have seen. The recipes are new and elegant, yet simple and "doable." The tips cover a full gamut of needs from the novice to the experienced - use of herbs, food presentation, garnishes, wines, etc. The calories, fat content, etc., assigned to the recipes is very helpful for those watching weight. An excellent addition to any cookbook library and at more than reasonable price.

Summary: Great Basic Cookbook
Review: This is the first and only cookbook I've bought since moving out of my parents house. It includes everything a person needs to know when starting from scratch plus a few necessary hints for entertaining. The directions are clear and easy to understand, and if something isn't clear, it's covered in the many reference sections. This cookbook is an excellent choice for someone moving out who has never had to cook for themselves. It would make a great housewarming or wedding gift, too!
