Summary: One of THE best cookbooks that I own!!!
Review: Actually, my mom bought me this cookbook when she was at a Southern Living party about 2 or 3 years ago. I haven't actually ever closed it since then. The recipes are easy to follow and most are basically foolproof, plus, there are nice little cooking hints and tips all throughout the book. The best part is that there is nutrition information for every recipe. Recipes are also divided into "Family Favorites", "Grilled", "Healthy", and such. Oh yeah, there are also pictures which is always a plus.

Summary: Absolutely the BEST Cookbook Available!
Review: Honestly, I have never purchased something that I have been so thrilled with as I have this cookbook. It has everything you can imagine in it, including helpful tips, substitutions, etc., and appeals to cooks of all types. It makes a superior wedding shower gift and an awesome Christmas gift for anyone. It's for the novice and the expert as well. And boy, you just don't get any better than this when it comes to the recipes. Oh my, that sweet potato casserole in this book is just outstanding! Folks could not keep away from it during a holiday gathering and it was the first thing gone! It's that amazing and that good! Everything I've tried in this book (and I've tried a chunk) has been incredible. You can't go wrong in any way buying this book for yourself or anyone. It's that amazing and you really need to have it in your collection.

Summary: The Best of A Great Line
Review: I have several Southern Living cookbooks including several years of the annual editions and the 20th anniversary edition. This is by far my favorite. The recipes are grouped by category rather than month as in the annual editions which I hate, it makes it hard to browse for a dinner recipe. One of the best things about this book is it has recipes for everyone from the beginner to the advanced chef. I can't name the number of times I have used the reference sections also. The substitution list is the best and I love the introductions and tips listed all over the book. Where the annual editions are really geared towards an experienced chef this book has so many basic tips that I would strongly recommend it for a beginning chef as well.

Review: I think I've developed a slight Southern drawl after trying some of the recipies in this book!;-P

These are classic and very tasty entrees, indeed. This sits right next to my copy of the Joy of Cooking--a must have!

Summary: for any type of cook
Review: Includes the basics for those whose culinary skills are close to zero. Great for professional cooks as well.I enjoyed this book [...]

This book is the best cookbook I have ever had,it goes into detail about all of the recipes even how to make a WEDDING CAKE. This book is for not only advanced cooks but beginners too, with easy to read and step by step instructions and lots of illustrations. My advise is to get this book.
