Summary: Battling the MSG Myth
Review: As the mother of a child that displays symptoms of ADD when he is exposed to foods containing MSG, I can tell you that this book is a life-saver. Along with fabulous recipes, there's a bounty of information on MSG, sulfites, Aspartame and other food additives. I use this book daily.

Summary: The definitive coping guide for MSG sensitivity
Review: Deb Anglesey has written the best coping guide for dealing with the dramatic diet changes one must make if they are sensitive to MSG. I was a food industry scientist, and I feel that this book is extremely important. Monosodium glutamate is hidden in so many foods, and since many people react to it with asthma, and other serious medical conditions, it is crucial to find where it is hidden. Deb Anglesey helps you not only find where it is and eliminate it, she has great ideas on what you CAN eat.

Summary: Lifechanging
Review: I found this book at a time when my husband was experiencing health problems so profound that we did not know what to do. When someone brought msg to our attention, this is the first book I got my hands on. I have read quite a few books on the topic now. I found this one very user-friendly. It includes symptom lists and recipes for condiments that are hard to find at the grocer without msg. It made this lifestyle change feel less overwhelming....and that was definitely what we needed at the time!

Summary: Battling the MSG Myth
Review: I was so so sick and didn't know why. This book saved my life. I now understand how excitotoxins have poisoned my body. After 1 1/2 years I feel better than I have for 20 years. I am well and I avoid msg and msg hidden by other names, thanks to Debby Anglesey. This is a marvelous hands-on book that talks about msg, sulfites, and helps with common sense recipes that work.

Summary: Epilepsy and MSG
Review: My oldest child has had epilepsy that is uncontrolled by medicines, the Ketognic diet, brain surgery, and vitamin therapy. After noticing a worsening in his seizures when eating foods containing MSG, we began to do research into this horrible substance that is added into so many of our foods. This book has been invaluable in our search for information. It is very readable and easily understood. The recipes are numerous and I'm looking forward to trying more of them. While it is too soon to see major improvement in my son yet, we have already noticed an improvement in his mood and mental clarity as a result of making the simple change of taking one of his medicines out of the gelatin capsule in which it comes, and mixing the powder with food. This change was made after checking with the pharmacist and being told that it would not interfere with the working of the drug. We have also stopped giving him two vitamin supplements that came in gelatin capsules. More changes will be made as we learn more about the various forms MSG can take in one's diet.

Summary: A must read
Review: The MSG Myth is a reference aid that I use frequently although I have read it cover to cover many times. I owe my life to this book after suffering for a long time with physical problems with little help from my doctors who were also at a loss for reasons behind my symptoms. From this book, I learned that I was suffering from the effects of food additives --- especially monosodium glutamate (MSG) and how I should change my diet. The MSG Myth is an easy read. Debby A's warmth and desire to help others shines through. Along with Dr. Blaylock's book entitled, Excitoxins- The Taste That Kills, The MSG Myth is a MUST READ --- especially those in the healthcare professions or anyone concerned about the food and nutrition of today.

Summary: Excelent book -I'd buy this one first !
Review: This book is well written, easy to understand, and includes a more complete list of ingreadance containing MSG than other books, I found it helpfull as a personal survival guide, although it does not explain in as much medical detail why MSG is harmfull as some other books (I.E. Dr. Blaylock, Excitotoxins The taste that kills) this is the most pratical and helpfull guide to living MSG free I have found. It explains things about foods and additives that I have not found elsewhere. I would recomend this book to any one seeking informaiton on MSG. This is a survival guide not a tech- explain how it all works kind of book.
